We stayed at Tucker's retreat ,what a lovely cottage , very comfortable and clean ,the owners are very friendly and helpful ,we had a brilliant time because it's very central for beaches and other Devon attractions, and very dog friendly
Beautiful cottage in a lovely setting with everything we needed. A great week was had by all .
Booking was simple and when we rang with a query John and Sue were friendly and helpful.
When we arrived we were shown to our beautiful cottage (Tuckers Retreat). It is so homely with everything you need. They even left a pint of milk in the fridge, tea bags and posh biccies to welcome us. They also supply dish washer tabs, washing up liquid, hand soap, kitchen and toilet roll and tea towels.
There are goats, chickens and Rabbits to feed. We would have loved it if they put on activities like egg collecting and cuddling a rabbit but understand this would be time consuming!
The amenities are also fab. There is a lovely warm pool. It is small but perfectly formed the games room is nice to have. Take a few 50 pence for the pool table.
There is a lot to do in the area. Our fave was Quince Honey Farm where you can pay extra to be a bee keeper!!! And also loved The Milky Way.
Overall a perfect holiday for a young family.
My family of 15 got together to celebrate my 60th - us older kids stayed in Tucker retreat the rest of the family were next door in the Roundhouse - this was the perfect arrangement. The cottages have all the home comforts you could want and Sue and John ensure the little touches left for your convenience add that special something. There was even a lovely glass vase I was able to put my birthday flowers in. The amenities at Combrew Farm excel for all age groups - my whole family plan a return trip when visitors from Brunei can join us.
We have stayed here a number of times and can't fault it. It is clean, tidy and everything you need is supplied. The owners are friendly and helpful. On arrival there is always a welcome pack which is brilliant.
