Came here for a nights stay with my partner and dog. They were really welcoming towards the dog and ourselves.
The room we stayed in I think wasn’t great for what we paid but it was a room that allowed a dog to stay.
The breakfast in the morning was lovely , the staff were helpful , gardens were nice especially when the weather is nice overlooking the lake.
Lots to do and see and plenty of walks to go on.

A nice courteous welcome. We booked a standard room and a cosy room. Both rooms were very nice and clean. The standard room was much larger than you sometimes expect in British hotels - so absolutely no complaints about the rooms. Had a few drinks at the small bar - good attentive service here. Good breakfast in the morning. In fact, an excellent stay all round. The only slight negative I can come up with was the shower didn’t have great pressure, and I’m being very picky because of the high standards set in all other departments. You can walk into town but it’s probably a mile. So we’ll done The Ryebeck. Highly recommended.

This was our third stay here and it was every bit as good as the previous two. The staff are so welcoming and hard working, the rooms spotlessly clean and the food fantastic. It was nice to be able to sit in the lounge and have such a gorgeous view. It’s not often you come across such a nice place but we have been lucky to do so with The Ryebeck. Looking forward to visit number 4!

We were very impressed with this hotel. It has a lovely welcoming feel and there is a beautiful view from the terrace and cosy lounge. It was quiet and our double-aspect room had a lovely view of the lake and the stunning sunset. Everywhere was very clean and attractively decorated. All the staff were friendly and helpful and the food, both at dinner and breakfast was delicious. We will certainly be recommending The Ryebeck to friends and family. Thank you for a lovely stay.
For me, the only downside was the lack of a lift which I hope will soon be remedied so we can visit again.

We have been here twice for afternoon tea and both times it was outstanding.
The lounge offers a seat by the cosy fire when it is cold or a picturesque view of the lake and fells when it is sunnier.
The choices of sandwiches and cakes were different each time, but beautifully presented and inspiring. As each mouthful melted away, its like a trip to paradise. The scones are just the right combination of crisp crust and warm soft buttery inside. Proper raspberry jam. Proper leaf tea, of course and prosecco if you wish. Great service too.
Lots of places do afternoon tea but this is one of the best.
