“Perfect getaway”

Me and my girlfriend stayed at this cottage for 2 nights to get away from things at home. The cottage was lovely and the owner had left a tray with everything ready to make a cup of tea including a nice lemon drizzle cake! There was milk and some chilled water in the fridge and some other bits. The cottage has free wifi and a new tv which must be bigger than the one that some people complained about. You can put DVDs in at the side and there is all the free view channels. We felt really cosy in the evenings. The cottage is well located for nice walks. Brahman Park and Harewood House are worth a visit. Nearby Wetherby has some nice restaurants and pubs.

“Our idyllic anniversary getaway”
Reviewed 6 August 2014 for a stay in July 2014

My partner and I stayed for 3 nights to celebrate our anniversary. We opened the door to the most adorable, beautifully decorated cottage but what touched us most was the vase of red roses left by Julie the owner. We also found chocolates in the kitchen and a lovely vase of sweet peas in our bedroom. We had an idyllic 3 days, walking to local pubs in the area and just enjoying the cosyness of such a perfect cottage. Many thanks to Julie, all the little extra touches were much appreciated.

“Well presented”
Reviewed 22 June 2014 for a stay in June 2014

Julie's previous hospitality experience clearly shows. The cottage is tastefully decorated and well presented. Pretty much everything we needed to make our stay comfortable yes a larger TV would be nice, as previously mentioned in reviews, especially in the winter when the nights are dark early and the weathers not good. The breakfast hamper was a nice little touch and much appreciated.
On this occasion we were visiting family nearby and would definitely stay at Cabbage Hall Cottage again.

Liked best: The modern feel to an old cottage
Liked least: Both local villages (pubs) nearby had very restricted access to food, either serving very early before 7.30pm or only on specific nights

“Tranquil rest”
Reviewed 14 May 2014 for a stay in May 2014

We booked with Julie at short notice for the Bank Holiday weekend. We arrived to find a small hamper for us which eased the journey from the Midlands.

It was warm, comfortable, beautifully furnished and with a bus stop within staggering distance perfect for our dinner in Leeds.

Julie has previously owned Le Grys Barn in Norfolk and is obviously maintaining her previous high standards. Perhaps a breakfast hamper to ease the hangover?
