A nice ambience, cosy feel and friendly service. Meal fine and favourite brand of cider on tap. Will return again soon. Very near to the lift bridge which is an attraction in itself. Very popular with the tour coaches too we noticed! Prices fair for what is on offer especially in the seaside town of Weymouth where some are at a premium level.

A central location near the harbour with car parking options is the plus for our stay. The rooms are still clean and tidy but dated. The whole hotel could do with a some attention but that's not to say it's shabby just needs some TLC.
Breakfast is cheap and cheerful, with limited choice (please try cooking the bacon longer Chef) but the staff are friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: rooms are all different, ask to view them first.

We booked lunch at the Crown for our Macular Society group (all older people with central vision loss), coming to Weymouth for the day from Bristol. We were given a menu to choose from in advance, with four choices for each course and with a really good price, including tea or coffee. The meal was served very quickly and efficiently and everyone was delighted with the quality of the food. The dining room was spacious and with plenty of light - excellent for people with sight loss. The staff were efficient and helpful. One of our group was feeling very unwell with travel sickness and they were particularly kind and helpful to her. Highly recommend for a group booking. And it is in an excellent location - close to harbour, shops and beach.

when we arrived at the crown we were greeted by a receptionist who cared about her job and the customer and directed to the hotel garage to park the car which was extremely tight as we have a big car. The hotel was spotlessly clean but dated we were directed to our room which was quite a route march from the lift but very pleasant. we went into the hotel bar where our grandchildren we made very welcome unlike other near by establishments. we didn't eat in the hotel. but would return to this hotel staff 10 out of 10

Visited for a weekend break...
Fab location with very friendly and helpful staff..
Breakfast but very well organised and food was good...all waiter service but nothing is too much trouble and service is quick
Rooms are basic but comfortable...
Only down side being check in at 3pm which is a little late especially if it was a one night stay but shall return
