Last minute trip to Weymouth ,first place we see after parking car very conveniently in train station only a couple of meters away. Just what we were craving but came away a little disappointed.
The restaurant itself looks great! And we were greated with nice welcoming smiles .
The drinks list is a vast size with plenty of options i had a really good pint of ipa and the wife had a large sweet rose. We didn't have a starter as decided we shall leave room for a sweet after our meal. Our drinks order was taken very quickly and our food order was taken as our drinks arrived the wife had chosen gammon and i had the tri-decker. The restaurant had 4 other tables full that night which i believe is very quiet for a friday night at 8pm (12/10/10). One table was a large family from America, the rest of the tables was couples.
We waited a really long time but figured if fresh worth the wait,so after 40 minutes our food arrived it looks great! Fries are skin on and hot ,good!
Buttered corn with a garlic kick ,simple and good.
Gammon eggs pineapple great!
Coleslaw homemade TERRIBLE! really fine cut watery mess awful texture and taste. I don't think it was the ingredients as coleslaw is simple but may have been the fineness it had been cut and excess water hadn't been squeezed out . If it was chunky im sure it would have been different story.
My tri-decker , the beef pattie is small but full of flavour, pulled pork amazing but the chicken in the franks/buffalo was ice cold i guess previously prepared. Great flavor combo
A little disappointed we decided to grab dessert elsewhere.
Just small details really ,so very close to being great and price 36 quid for 2 drinks and 2 mains .
