On arrival we were warmly welcomed by Nicky and John who showed us around and made us feel at home
We stayed in Room 2, not the biggest but adequately equipped with everything you need plus many little extras and a view of their fantastic garden (sadly, being only a short stay with much planned we didn't have time to sit out in and fully enjoy it)
From the upstairs landing windows you could look out across the outstanding meadow nature reserve
Meadow View is a very clean and tidy family home as well as a B&B set in a very quiet corner of Bude but within easy walking distance of everything you may need
There is free Wi-Fi available and Free Parking out front
A superb fresh breakfast tailored exactly to your requirements awaits you in the morning
Nothing was too much trouble for Nicky and John who are such fine hosts and well versed in all the local eateries and amenities
Would well recommend staying at Meadow View

This B&B is outstanding because the owners go out of their way to welcome their guests. They have a beautiful garden which guests can sit in and enjoy the sun. The breakfast is really good and this room or the garden is also available if guests want to buy a takeaway one night. There is a cosy sitting room for guests too.

The front bedroom is really spacious and has lovely views over the meadow opposite. Other rooms are rather small. However, Nicky and John could not be more friendly and helpful, It made a great base to explore locally and to enjoy the sea pool in Bude.

Room Tip: The front bedroom is the best for space and views.

Our first but definitely not last stay at Meadow View, we stayed with Nicky and husband John for eight nights in there extremely well equipped garden view room. On arrival we were greeted by our hosts and made to feel welcome, John helped to take our cases to the room whilst Nicky showed us around. Breakfast each day was superbly cooked and plentiful.

Room Tip: Nice views from all rooms

Going to Meadow View, set at the end of a cul-de-sac overlooking the canal and marsh land, we were welcomed most graciously by Nicky Shepherd who, at short notice kindly took myself and partner in with a nice warm greeting and help carrying our luggage up into the double room overlooking the trimly kept garden, complete with a fish pond, outdoor chairs and table to sit on should the opportunity arise.
Two other guests shared our breakfast table, who were from Switzerland and made interesting companions as we ate different meals. Mine was nicely cooked bacon, tomato mushrooms and hash browns, after starting with orange juice, fresh raspberries, strawberries, grapes and blueberries, which I smothered with thick creamy yogurt. Mixed toast tea and coffee. My partner followed her cereal and fresh fruit with poached egg tomato and toast whilst on the first day our Swiss diners chose cheese, grapes and toast the first time but the second day the lady had the similar poached egg as my partner had previously.
Tv in the bedroom, although there was a private sitting room for visitors with comfortable looking chairs and plenty of reading matter but didn't have the need to try during our two day stay.
An excellent experience and really as a not often user of B & B's, one that would find me going back to when in need of a welcoming short visit.
