Description: Restaurant Hywel Jones, part of the Lucknam Park Hotel in Wiltshire, is a timelessly elegant Michelin-starred affair. Located in a listed Palladian mansion, the restaurant resides in the stately home’s original ballroom. With magnificent chandeliers and Venetian mirrors, the restaurant has a grand view overlooking 500 acres of parkland and a mile-long drive lined with beech and lime trees. The menu, overseen by Head Chef Hywel Jones, makes use of the finest local and organic produce, as well as the hotel’s herb garden. Our favourite dishes include the pot roast of Roundway Hill pork belly with pan-fried foie gras, caramelised apples, baby leeks, girolles and sauce aux espices; and the pan roast Scottish diver scallops with tomato tatin, aubergine puree and aged balsamic dressing.

Excellent in all respects. A multi course menu of perfectly prepared dishes covering most all tastes. Prepare for spending a wonderful couple of hours giving your palate a treat.

There are two tasting menus a seasonal and a chef's. We tried both and they were equally delicious. Personal preference was the seasonal. Wide mixture of fish, liver, venison, a cheese board to die for, and a dessert. I love 1 star restaurants they are trying so hard for the next one.

I can’t find fault with the food or the experience at this restaurant but I somehow feel that the Manor House at Castle Combe has the edge in both food presentation and all the pomp that goes with the table service.
Having said that I can’t fault with the lad that runs the cheese trolley.... very knowledgable indeed.
Loved it all nevertheless

We tried this restaurant for the first time to celebrate our anniversary. The setting was splendid. The service was impeccable, and the dishes were perfectly presented and tasted wonderful. This was the best dining experience that I have enjoyed for a very long time.

We had Sunday lunch here and the food was very good as you would expect of an establishment whose chef has a Michelin star. One or two of the serving staff seemed uncertain of what they should do next but perhaps they were new employees or in training. One of our drinks was delivered to another table before we attracted the waiter's attention to get him to bring it to us. The service was definitely leisurely and we seemed to get forgotten as people who came into the dining room some time after us, and had the same number of courses that we did, were served ahead of us, finished their meals, and left before we did. However, we were not in any great hurry, although 2 hours for a 3 course meal and an amuse bouche in a restaurant that was not full did seem a little excessive.
