A pretty underwhelming monument to the American president. A slab of stone with words on it. If you like minimalism, this is it.

Luckily there are more interesting monuments in the area: 'The Jurors - Twelve Chairs At Runnymede' is right nearby and well worth viewing. As is a new art work for 2018, 'Writ in Water', a major architectural artwork by Mark Wallinger.

With the Magna Carter monument, these all make Runnymede a place worth visiting.

This is in a very peaceful area. It’s quite steep for those less mobile but we had a very enjoyable visit

Real enjoyed the walk up to the monument. The space around the structure is lovely allowing for a little walk.

There is a nice short walk to visit this memorial and the land is owned by the USA. The area can get very muddy at the wrong time of year.

A short distance from the Magna Carta memorial and a National Trust car park and tea room. If I’m honest I wouldn’t have gone too far out of my way to see this, but it was a nice day for a walk and I wanted to see the Magna Carta memorial. Steps up to this memorial might cause issues for those with mobility problems.
