Set on the shores of Lough Erne 10 minutes outside Enniskillen this hotel was underwhelming to me.

Checkin:
Room wasn’t ready but we were early so I 100% accept this (however 4pm is a very late check in time) but they do take your number and give you a call which is a good service.

Bar:
Friendly staff and food was nice

Spa and pool:
Pool was cold and very small. As was the jacuzzi. Seems too compact for the number of rooms within the hotel.

Restaurant:
When booking or checking in the hotel never offered to make a booking in the restaurant. It was full when we requested a booking which was fine as we were happy to eat in the golf club but if the restaurant is what you are after then make sure to call and book ahead!

Rooms:
Very underwhelming and dated. Gold/cream decor with tv that looked like it belonged in 1999. Tired mahogany furniture also! We requested a double room and their was a also a single bed in the room which is a pet hate. On top the ‘double’ was two singles together with no mattress topper to cover to connection!

Golf club:
Table wasn’t ready when we arrived. No drink offered while we waited. Food was fine for a golf club restaurant.

At 240€ per night there are definitely nicer options around Ireland but overall 3/5.

This place unreal, everything about this place is top class. The best staff I've ever came across. The food was perfect. The rooms are brilliant, being the best man I got a look at the honeymoon sweet, it won't dissapoint, a twin jacuzzi bath, massive bed, big balcony with an epic view of The Faldo course.
Can't wait to go back!!!!!!

Stayed for two nights to celebrate our recent wedding anniversary. Played golf a few times before so hotel was on our list to stay in. Parking was easy and checkin was efficient and informative re dining times etc. Room had a lake view however it was on the small side bed was very comfortable as were the pillows. Couldn’t control the heat in the bedroom as there was a radiator cover on it so room got very warm especially during the night. Found a fan in the wardrobe so that must be the a/c !!! Enough hanging spaces and shelves and a fridge which we used. Bathroom had a good hot shower separate bath and a bath mat which is unusual. Toiletries were sparce one shampoo conditioner for two of us. Tea making facilities and complementary water each day. Turndown service with chocolates. Dinner in the Catalina Resturant was disappointing. We expected a culinary delight however the service was poor too much chatter not enough information on the meal. Portions were small the main fish dish was really tiny and my duck brest was the size of and shaped like fish fingers never saw a duck brest that shape ever. Would imagine one brest would feed two people. Vegetables were in a small pot this was for two asked for another pot of potatoes to fill us up as waiter forgot to leave us a selection of bread. There was a long wait between courses perhaps if chef put more effort into cooking the main dishes and less on the embellishments around the edge of the plates dinner would be served promptly. Hubby opted for the cheese board which as described had many different cheeses however slithers of cheese at a large supplement is not value.
Breakfast on both mornings was self service hard to get service for tea or extra juice at last had to get up and take the tea pot for a refill. Sausages were tasteless as was the bacon overall have had better breakfasts in our local cafe.
Second night went to the Loughside Bar for our meal. Large dining area no frills no tablecloths. Two main choices were off the menu with no replacements so made choice difficult. Portions were better here however the chips were poor quality hard and should not be served in a so called 5 star resort.
Overall unless you get a really good deal I would go to a proper 5 star hotel and get what you pay for Lough Erne is not good value for money. A good 4 star don’t know how it managed 5.

Room Tip: A room with A/C would be good especially in warmer months

Thank you for staying for your wedding anniversary at the Lough Erne Resort. I am disappointed to read your experience at the resort was not five star.
The regulating of our heating can be challanging to ensure all our guests are equally comfortable and we will continue to try and perfect the temperature of the resort.
On behalf of my team we wish you both a belated Happy Wedding Anniversary and we look forward to meeting you back with us soon again.

Seven of us all adults looking for a last minute place to stay for the night. We got a three bedroom lodge with twin rooms and a pull out bed. Lodge had a fantastic outlook over the lough and other lodges. Rooms were well sized and all had own toilet bathroom.
The pull out bed was a more for a child and not the best for a grown adult, but it was last minute and we all wanted to be in same lodge. Facilities good, toiletries, tea and coffee too.
Breakfast was excellent, a range of choice and locally sourced produce too.
Staff brilliant, charming and interested in guests, very informative and helpful in every way. Manager also mingling with guests and talking to them which was a very nice touch.
Would certainly go back, only next time for longer hopefully.

Thank you for taking the time to post a review on your last minute stay at the resort. The pull out beds in the lodges are used for children. I am pleased that you found the experience enjoyable and the staff lived up to your expectations.
Looking forward to welcome your group back for a longer stay next time.
