Description: The Fowey's restaurant has retained coveted 2 AA Rosette recognition for exceptional food since 1997 and an extensive wine list compliments the menu. Our dinner menu offers a choice of dishes that make use of the best Cornish and regional produce seasonally available. The variety of dishes are skilfully prepared by a very experienced brigade and led by Master Chef Mark Griffiths. The deep, rich colours and ornate features in The Fowey’s restaurant are redolent of the grand days when hotels were busy, social hubs and dining out was an occasion. Such surroundings provide an atmospheric soupcon of past times, which combined with delicious food, makes dining here a totally pleasurable experience. The hotel will gladly cater for special dietary requirements and appreciates advance notice in this respect. For those wishing to dine more informally, a comprehensive Bar menu is from midday until 9pm.

We stayed about 5 days here and the food was excellent. We definitely recommend the restaurant. The lemon sole in mussel broth was delicious. It had a creamy sauce with seafood including mussels in it, served with samphire and new Cornish potatoes. The crab blinis were also excellent and the service impeccable.

But overpriced, views were gorgeous. Room was spacious and clean. There was no parking we had to pay 10 pound to reserve a space which was for a 1 night stay, also some guests were parking in front of one another due to lack of spaces.

Dear shane a,

Thank you for your review.
We are pleased you enjoyed your stay with us.

I was disappointed to read that you felt we were overpriced.
It is important that we offer quality and we are one of the most competitive in terms of the above in Fowey and surrounding areas.
Whilst parking can be a challenge in Fowey we ensure we utilise all spaces in our car park. This includes 3 double up spaces which guests are aware of when using these bays.

I hope that we will welcome you to Fowey again in the near future?

Summers day lunch on the lawn, old school quaint hotel, great spot. Unfortunately the £12.50 chicken Caesar salad comprised rubbery round lettuce hastily covered in a worm of iffy looking gunge with 2 pieces of greasy congealed insipid lumps masquerading as chicken chucked on top, and some teeth breaking croutons. Reading the by and large positive food reviews, and given it was a bank holiday, the regular chef must have been elsewhere...

We visited the beautiful little town of Fowey, absolutely beautiful views. As we walked we found the Fowey hotel and decided to have afternoon Cream Tea there. The hotel is beautiful, the scenery stunning, the service great and the Cream tea fantastic.

A place not to be missed if your visiting Cornwall.
