Had a great 5 hours looking around this lovely building on Wednesday, the stained glass is wonderful and the stone work is fantastic.

A bit in the back streets but not far from the Piece Hall so they need to get some signposting. Guides were knowledgeable

When visiting Halifax realised it had a Minster so on a showery day decided to see for myself. When we arrived we were welcomed and given a concise leaflet on the Minster which was very informative. It is 900 years old and very impressive particularly the stained glass windows, carved chairs and pews and wonderful ceiling. Well worth a visit just from a historical point of view. The volunteers were very helpful.

Visited the Minster for the first time, the interior is much more impressive than the exterior would suggest. Some of the most beautiful stained glass I have seen anywhere. We had a lot of help from the volunteers, lovely people. Beautiful carved pews, gorgeous. We had the bonus of a very talented organist playing while we were there. Well worth a visit.

We came as part of a short break staying at a hotel at the edge of Halifax. Found out about a free organ concert at Halifax Minster and spent the whole day in the town.

We were welcomed by a friendly lady who not only told us all about what was happening on the day (lunch and concert), but also gave us a leaflet about the building. She was also happy to provide us with any additional information about the church.

The organ concert was one of a series of music by Mendelssohn most expertly played by Simon Lindley and well introduced. The concert was free with a retiring collection. Before the concert there was the opportunity to partake in a parish lunch for an amazing £4 which was brilliant value considering all there was on offer! All the money from today's events were part of fund-raising for the Minster. It was really nice to see the initiatives to make fund-raising so much fun for locals and visitors. Thumbs up!
