Had a great lunch. The cakes were lovely, with a good selection. Day was made by our waiter Jason - very helpful and attentive.

There are lovely walks for all walks of life.

The restaurant is always busy because the food is of a high quality. It also has a craft shop and deli.

If you have dogs there are tables under cover outside the restaurant where you can eat.

stopped in for a coffee and persuaded ourselves to have the afternoon tea. Plenty staff, but mostly quite young and untrained. Asked for strong coffee and got it reasonably quickly and it was OK. the spread arrived, good selection of everything. No napkins supplied so had to ask, no salt on the table and had to ask again, waitress brought a couple of sachets of lo-salt, had to go hunting for a proper salt celler. The sandwiches were good enough, a bit heavy on the garnish of pea shoots, and the bread was starting to dry but tasty enough. The scones were a bit heavy and doughy, jam was just ok. cakes were nice, especially the frangipani tart. All in all very nice, a slight sharpen of the service would make this excellent. PS I am not thrilled with having dogs allowed into the restaurant, two in when we were there!

A lovely high ceiling approach lets natural light in and makes this venue a must see...opening out on to a scenic deck over the Loch and even some heated seating pods for those who must be out of the main building.

This place must be awesome in the summer, and was very nice the winter afternoon we visited.

Afternoon tea for 2 for GBP 21 was a worthwhile investment. The usual sandwiches and then scones and cakes and shortbread and meringue with piles of fresh cream...a box was needed to remove about half the goods.

A highlight was the tasty sausage roll portion that came as well.

The only drawback I saw was barking dogs inside, I think they need to enforce their well behaved pets policy a little more. The other food I saw all looked very good, cheap eats and good value combined. A nice gift shop and clean toilets also add to the experience

We would recommend Loch Leven Larder to anyone.
