Here are two people who just enjoy making sure their guests are well looked after and who go the extra mile to do this.
The house is comfortable with "the best view in Shetland" from the master guest room.
Breakfast is a true joy with all the local specialities traditionally prepared.
We were sorry to leave and look forward to returning
Fabulous. Top location delightful hospitality feels like coming home. Feeling sad to say goodbye. Someday we will be back for a longer stay. Many thanks Pippa & Colin
South Ness House is an outstanding place to stay! Pippa and Colin share their phantastic house with guests, with an admirable hospitality - we would have liked to stay much longer. The breakfast was increadible regarding variety of food and presentation. We felt extremely comfortable und at ease with our hosts. Panoramic sea views, the city in walking distance - perfect!
The house is located directly on the waterfront with magnificent views over the bay towards Bressay. We spent quite some time looking out of the windows from our room or from the breakfast room. There are ships moving past in and out of Lerwick harbour, and plenty of wildlife can be observed as well. The rooms are spacious and well furnished. The hearty cooked breakfast will carry you through the day, yet there are always home-made cookies and fresh fruit available in the afternoons for coffee or tea breaks. The friendly hosts, Pippa and Colin are meticulously maintaining the high standard of this luxury accommodation and are always helpful when it comes to additionally required items.
My bedroom at South Ness House looked out onto the sea. Beautiful. This waterfront property is impeccably cared for, and the owners/hosts were welcoming, friendly and accommodating.
My room was large with a desk, settee, wardrobe, dresser, dressing gowns and a very comfortable bed. And while not ensuite, the bathroom across the hall was modern, tastefully finished and spotless.
Breakfast included a range of cooked to order choices, as well as fresh fruit, juices, yogurt, granola, toast, tea or coffee (made fresh and served in a French press).
The owners, Pippa and Colin, are sincerely interested in the happiness of their guests, and were quick to offer suggestions of things to do and places to eat. They're local knowledge is extensive.
Located a short walk into the town centre with ample on site parking, this is one of the best b&b guest houses I've ever stayed at.
