Really lovely country pub just 15 min max from Tatton Park. Food excellent although a bit pricey depending on what you order. We just had a light lunch ie club sandwich and delicious fish finger sandwich which was great. We sat outside with our two dogs although dogs are allowed inside and there is plenty of room for them. Staff excellent obviously sent to customer service school because service was super. Well done "the dog".

Our friends treated us to lunch,we hadn't booked as there were only 4 of us (you need to book for larger parties). We had the smaller portion of Sea bass with Sweet potatoe and Courgetti ,Fish pie,and Bacon chop for our main meals. We would recommend them all, they were tasty ,hot and very well presented. Two of us managed desserts, I had the Waffle with Salted Caramel ice cream-truly scrumptious, and the other dessert was Apple and Blackberry crumble and custard just a nice size with Strawberry on top.My husband loves his real ales so was very happy with his selection. The restaurant wasn't very busy but there was still a nice atmosphere. This pub is in the middle of the countryside,so am not sure if you could get here without driving. As non drivers my husband and myself would struggle to get here, fortunately we have good friends. The staff are friendly and efficient we will be back.

we have driven to this pub several times, seen how busy the car park is and gone somewhere on a few occasions. We have managed to eat here once, although were on a tiny table more suited to someone just having drinks rather than 3 people having dinner. The food however was beautiful, we all had sunday dinners, the service was quick and the prices reasonable. Would love to go back but we are kind of spur of the moment planners and always forget to book!

Thanks to Gareth and the whole team for looking after us from start to finish on our trip to Aintree last Thursday. I organised a coach trip from the dog where we were welcomed with Buck's Fizz on arrival followed by a delicious full English breakfast which was top notch! On return we were delighted to be greeted with bar nibbles/ canapé snacks which helped us out a lot after a long day! We carried on drinking and some of us had an evening meal which again was fab! Thanks again and you will be seeing us all next year and plenty of times in between no doubt!
