What a super find - great food which is home cooked and a service with a smile. Adored the Himalayan stew wonderfully warming. We will return.

Having never eaten Nepalese food we were pleasantly surprised by the flavours. There was so much to choose from on the menu that I think we got a little excited & over ordered but everything we ordered was tasty. They even offered to box up what we couldn't manage. Everyone serving were very willing to help advise as well as chat to you about their food & life experiences. I would recommend this little place.

Given a list of places to eat on the Sunday of the bank holiday by our B&B hostess (The White House down by the river on Wye St - excellent, pleasant hostess, but she said she might be retiring which will be a shame... - sorry I digress) , we plumbed for the Nepalese because 'that sounds interesting, never tried that before'...
Just a short stroll from the market square, hard to miss on the left as you walk down the hill.
We hadn't booked but that was no problem (they were moderately full). Laminated paper menu, place mats showing views of Nepal. Looks a bit basic maybe..
But the staff are very friendly and attentive, and the food was excellent. I was expecting Indian type food, and looking at the menu you can see similarities. But when it comes you appreciate it is actually quite different, and really very good.
Washed down with Gurkha beer of course, but wine, Lassi available.
Unfortunately I live in West London, otherwise I'd be in here frequently!
