We popped in for an early lunch, got a table outside in the sun and settled down to look across the water.

On a relatively small menu, there was no soup of the day, brown bread, fish fingers or scallops.

The service was terribly slow, and about 45 minutes after ordering the sandwiches turned up. Mayonnaise missing from the crab sandwich and tomato absent from the cheese and tomato sandwich.

One young lady with an attitude and one helpful.

Get your high quality lunch from the deli, spend less, get what you order with a great attitude in half the time.

Ferryman didn't offer crab sandwich or pint of prawns for lunch (times change I suppose!) so we wandered down Fore St & found this equally beautiful waterfront view. Crab sandwich here was packed full - another diner had crab salad & an equally generous portion emerged. Just what we wanted in the perfect location & a nice bottle of crisp dry wine to boot!!

Have been going here for years and usually one of our favourites for tea and cake, but unfortunately it seems to have gone downhill. Very ordinary scones, clotted cream in a tub you can buy in any supermarket and very overpriced. A shame as it used to be quite good

Had wonderful poached eggs, bacon and avocado breakfast here, watching the world go by on the water. Lovely environment, especially with the bi-fold doors - these have really opened up the whole space.
Added bonus is the acceptance of dogs. I know not everyone's preference but it makes such a difference to a responsible dog owner.

We only popped in for tea and cake, but it was a good experience. For some reason we were not offered a menu which might have made us change our plans and order more. The bakewell tart was really good and the portion was very generous. The bill was a little slow at coming, and not cheap, but it was a nice experience and we would return.
