We come here regularly usually for a pint of Pinms and to sit and people watch as it has the best view of the estuary in my opinion
Situated right next to the ferry that pops people over to the beach there is always something happening.
Easy place to get a bite too as reasonably priced and plenty of tables. Don't miss this place if you are in Salcombe

After a shaky start at another eatery for breakfast lunch here was a true delight. The staff were busy but took time to make as feel welcome and throughout our 3hr lunch this never wavered. The location is amazing overlooking the comings and goings in the estuary. The beer is well kept, the glasses clean, the food is excellent and well presented and the coffee good. The dogs were also made to feel part of the experience. We will return

Where to start? The outside seating area has great views of Salcombe bay. Five of us decided to eat here, all standard dishes e.g. fish and chips, fish pie, scampi and chips, steak and chips. All were average, some arrived 50 minutes after others had been served -pretty poor service really. Drinks - ordering at the bar was a nightmare - with 3 staff trying to deal with orders in an area with room for no more than one at a time - and confusion on the tills did not help the situation. Without being rude the Staff seemed "new" and there did not seem to be anyone taking charge of either the bar or the outside seating area. Our advice - the view is great so grab a drink and sit and enjoy Salcombe bay for a while or alternatively watch the confusion around you as others try and enjoy a "relaxing" meal. Then get up and go somewhere else in Salcombe for dinner.

Nice setting by estuary; lots of tables in beer garden.

Menu limited and basic but reasonably priced and we had cheeseburgers which were really very good.

Staff ‘ok’ but we didn’t find many very good waiting staff to be friendly in Salcombe at all.

I chose Hunter Chicken with skinny fries that was very tasty, my wife had an OK burger, a bit on the dry side, our friend had fish and chips that were very good. Bar service is good but having to collect cutlery and sauces detracts and the food service was rather slapdash, culminating in me almost having the remains of my wife's relish being thrown all over me, fortunately it landed on the back of my hand, the waitress laughed and said she'd come back to clean up but she didn't return. The view from the patio is second to none, so this could have easily been a 4 if only food service was better.
