Apple Jacks Adventure Farm
Ranked #6 of 49 things to do in Warrington

Attraction details
Recommended length of visit: More than 3 hours
Owner description: Apple Jacks Adventure Farm, open from Spring to Autumn during weekends and school holidays only, is a day out primarily for children aged 5 to 12. The attraction is NOT a petting zoo. Many attractions involve physical challenges and activities; zip-wires, Jack’s Ball Blast, roller skating, adventure tractor hayride, and the Jumping Pillow are just some of the attractions available. The Amazing Maize Maze opens in late July. Access to most attractions is included in the entrance price however there are some small additional costs for coin-operated attractions. Food, drink, toilet and baby changing facilities are available. There is ample free parking at the site. A lot of the negative reviews on Trip Adviser are as a result of peoples' expectations not having been met, even though the website gives full details of what guests should expect when they get there. Note that the Spooky World attraction (co-located) is a separate event to the Apple Jacks Adventure Farm event.

We took two 10 year olds here for the afternoon even though all reviews were bad. Yes, it was muddy especially as it poured down while we were there, but it is a working farm. There was lots to do to keep the girls happy. A couple of things were only half open but it didn't spoil their fun. Lot of places to eat a picnic or buy food. On a warm sunny day it would have looked even better. Give it a visit.

Couldn't believe the state of this place. Grotty, unkempt, desperately in need of a financial injection! They must make enough to be able to reinvest into the park. There are not enough staff and those visible acted uninterested. All seemed very disorganised, some things not open even though peak time summer hols. Seemed to be a distinct lack of equipment causing long waits for families. I thought many of the Activities could have proven dangerous, they were noticeably worn, tied and needing refurbishment. The craft golf was anything but crazy, well apart from the long wait. I've never seen such a dismal crazy golf in my life! Haunted house was shut. Long queues for drop slide but still only one open, although both were filthy. Queue even for the maze! Roller rink is basically tarmac with a fence round it, uneven and plenty of injuries while I was there. No organisation in the exchanging of shoes /boots here either it was chaos, plus the skates are so old and tatty. Bins overflowing before end of lunch time. Tatty, filthy and shoddy looking equipment etc I just wanted to leave! £1 to pay as extra on top of entrance fee for certain activities! Kids had a go of most things then asked to leave they were feeling let down. An accident occurred by the Quad carts and the ride operator did not stop everyone on the quad or ask spectators to stand back. He didn't give the injured party or supervisor of cold injured any assistance except to call a first side. No tissue for his bleeding mouth, no chair for him to sit on, he was shaking with the shock. The first aider arrived asap but wasn't much use, seemed to need guidance, didn't seem to know what to do, and even offered the child an icelolly! You should never give food or drink whilst in shock. The quad had hit the fence surrounding the area while the driver wasn't holding onto the handle bars. The child looking over the fence to watch the quads, was hit and thrown to the ground, but the tide continued & young children stood in the same place that he had, just absolutely ridiculous. There was no crash barrier or signs to warn against standing near the fence.
The toilets are filthy, even earlier on in the day. Seriously run down and lacking tlc, just a way to make money. No chance that these attractions are completely safe.

We bought a ticket through Groupon (£24 for a family ticket) and really thought is was worth the money. Something for everyone here, even kept my teenager happy. Archery, roller skating, ball blaster, zip wire, bouncy slide, bouncy pillow, tracker ride through woods, maize, pig racing and large play area. We didn't eat here as took a picnic, but did buy a drink and were able to hide under cover when it rained. Found the young staff extremely friendly and really good with the kids. Sorry I only dropped a star as the toilets weren't very clean (it was the end of the day though) and some of the bins around the farm were overflowing too. We will definitely return here for Halloween (spooky world ) :-)

Got a groupon which they seem to do each summer. Girls usually go with out Nanny but this year went with the grandparents. No problem with the groupon, plenty busy but not too busy to get around and on the activities. Paid extra to use the diggers etc but they were fairly priced. Need good weather and ideal to have a picnic at. Can happily do a 10-3 type day and longer if the kids are all getting along! Definitely recommend but think for primary and below age kids only.

After visiting Apple Jacks a few times in the past I was very disappointed with my recent visit! I witnessed young staff being spoken to terribly by an older man, the toilets are in a terrible state! Equipment is that old and worn it scared me to let my little ones play on! We did speak to some lovely staff 'Craig is lovely and helpful but most of them are obviously trying there best running around doing more than one job! The archery wasn't on! The pig racing wasn't on! I have read the reviews on here and just wonder who wrote them! Even the photos on the last review is from another year as they only have one platform ball fighting game 'not three as seen on photo, as I said 'no archery! And the digger in sand is not on the photo! Obviously a very old photo or maybe someone trying to hide the fact that this place has gone down! One good point was when my child fell over they did jump to help, but thankfully not a bad injury as they had no first aid! Sorry we will not visit again or recommend to our friends and family
