We’ve walked past here hundreds of times and often said we should give it a try so finally we did. It was busy on a Thursday night but they squeezed us in and we ordered a bottle of Soave while looking at the menu. Neither of us often has an appetite to eat starters but we fancied a nibble on some cheesy garlic bread. One portion split into two was more than enough for both of us.
The main courses have a number of unusual options and we both chose chicken dishes, one with king prawns in a creamy sauce and the other with Parma ham in a tomato sauce. Both come with sauté potatoes and fresh vegetables.
Their doesn’t appear to be a lot of staff working here but they were running around being industrious while staying pleasant and helpful without getting flummoxed in any way. The place had a good atmosphere and we enjoyed our wine while waiting for our meals.
They both arrived in an acceptable time and looked good. The sauce with the chicken and prawn dish was lovely, the sauce with the other one was very rich and most definitely only for fervent tomato lovers. The potatoes were cooked with lots of rosemary and the vegetables were very much al dente.
We enjoyed our meal and thought it perfectly good value for money. We won’t leave it so long before visiting again.
