This site is small but very beautifully laid out and maintained. It comprises of touring pitches, lodges and static caravans. There is a shop, laundrette, games room and playground on site. A nice farm shop just a few minutes walk a way, major supermarket within ten minutes and the town within half hours walk. All the staff are friendly and will help you to enjoy your stay.

Wow can't fault the location, stunning scenery, the viaduct provides a great backdrop to the site.
We stayed in one of the static caravan, which on arrival we were met and taken to, so clean and tidy, spotless, a warm welcome, the van had everything we needed, plenty parking, beds made up, and were very comfy.
There a small games room, with leaflets about the local area in, a playpark, and the site its self was very well maintained and looked after.
We were there in August and it was so quiet on the site.
Would return

Booked on last minute an was told I had to beat campsite by 4 despite the staff living on the site, maybe a mobile number would be an advantage for campers that are held up?

A outright ban on open fires made the stay disappointing as we have camped around this area before without this ban despite us bringing our off the floor fire pit/barby.

Location and shower block was top notch.

We stayed in a tent and found it hard to find a pitch with flat ground.

Due to the fire policy I will not be booking again but it’s a nice clean quiet site with patrols around 3 times a day to warn off any wrong doers.

We have recently started having a couple of UK camping trips each year. Having had a nice weekend in Shropshire earlier this year we picked this site for our August BH break based on the generally positive feedback. We were quite a large party -effectively four retired/semi retired couples and some of their children/grandchildren. We had booked for six tents. Our preferred approach when space permits is to arrange our tents around a gazebo such that we have some communal space. On arrival we were informed that as it was a Bank Holiday weekend and the site was full gazebos were not allowed. (To be fair it did state this on the website but we had missed it) Also, site rules were that it was not acceptable to have a wood fire even if in bbq/firepit etc. Given that the weather was pretty dire it was going to be difficult to socialise without the Gazebo or any way of generating some warmth. We did end up erecting our gazebo and having a 'discussion' with the park management over this and whilst it was resolved relatively amicably it just didn't make sense to us -surely you should be allocated a 'space' and be able to erect a gazebo on this providing you stick within the space?
Regardless of this our frame of reference is comparison with the other sites we have camped on over the last couple of years and we were collectively of the view that this was least impressive, key negatives included
-The camping field is on a slope that is sufficient to cause problems with sleeping and things sliding off tables.
-In some areas the ground if very rocky and it is difficult to get adequate tent peg purchase
-The toilet/shower facilites are not big enough for a campsite of this size
-The washing up facilites are both insufficient in quantity and lacking in space.
There are some positives
-The staff were friendly and helpful even though we had a slight disagreement over the Gazebo
-The views are impressive
-The location is good for Buxton town centre-an easy walk

We stayed here on the last August bank holiday . We booked late and were told they were at near full capacity. I was a little apprehensive the site would be packed and chaotic. I couldn’t have been more incorrect . The site was a good size with lots of space to pitch and for the children to roam free. The non electric field was on a little gradient but there was plenty of choice of places to pitch. The toilet facilities were clean and well maintained. A small games room was onsite with a few games to play and a pool table. Unfortunately on this occasion no open fires were allowed which was disappointing as for us a camp fire is part of the experience. The site is well located to the centre of Buxton, a lovely little place for a weekend of camping
