Fantastic three meat Sunday roast. The meat was in a giant yorkie pud and came with carrots, peas, parsnips, cauliflower cheese stuffing, a big roastie and a big pig in blanket! Finished off with a homemade bakewell sponge drowned in custard and a nice local cask ale. Fantastic meal for £19. Very homely feel, a little dated decor, but very cosy with a big fire. Staff were top notch - very friendly and welcoming. Wouldn’t have known it was there if I hadn’t seen the small sign on the A6 - but glad I did!

Just been for a Sunday lunch which was delicious. Very tender meat and a good selection of veg cooked perfectly, in fact one of the best pub lunches I’ve had in a long time. The owners were lovely and friendly and it feels like you’ve just popped back home. Taddington is a pretty little village with the Queen’s Arms at it’s heart. If you are travelling to Buxton or the area do take the time for a visit. (Dogs are very welcome too.)

We visited this evening and it was like going home. Really friendly and warm, couldn’t have been made more welcome and the landlord / landlady couldn’t have been nicer. This is a trad pub. The kind that needs supporting. Give it a try, it’s a lovely place and just makes you smile.

I have been here twice recently, at times when the pub is supposed to be open (about 1315 both times - the website says it opens from 1230 - 1500 for food). Both times it was firmly closed; on the second occasion there was another, quite large, group of walkers also looking disappointed. This may well be a nice pub, but it would help if you could get in to see!!

Took the new car for a spin to Bakewell...was a wet Saturday but all main street pubs and bars were full...started back for Stoke and saw a sign for this place. A very small quaint town and the pub felt like a living room. Very homely and friendly service. Large portions. Ordered the special of the day prawn and avocado salad and the large Yorkshire pudding with sausages, potatoes and vegetables. The sauce was divine. Good selection of beers. Was a happy customer !!!
