“Great place to visit”
Reviewed 26 February 2012

This is much better than White Scar Caves for a family wanting to explore caves. No hard-hats are needed and the tour guide was great.

But most importantly the caves are beautiful and easily accessible.

“CAVERN EXPERIENCE”

Good guide for the 45 minute tour. Thought the cost expensive unless you had a discount.

“Well worth the trip”
Reviewed 17 February 2012

Getting there by walking from the town centre would normally be easy but the ice and snow added a certain challenge. However Buxton drivers generally seem quite relaxed by pedestrians occupying their space.
Visit was very well done - we had a small party because of the weather - and the guide was excellent and answered many questions. Price was a bit high but gift aid did not add to the price and means that your tickets are valid for further visits in a year.

A bit of a short tour. Guide ok but , although he answered questions, he didn@t really engage with the group.

“Interesting, educative and very beautiful”
Reviewed 15 February 2012

Lovely and interesting place just a short walk away from the centre of Buxton. A good option if it’s raining, though be sure to bring non-slippery shoes because it’s wet inside (and also coats, even if it’s summer – it’s cold too!). Guides are complimentary with the entrance fee and I truly recommend taking one of the frequent tours to make the best of your visit. Photographs are permitted. There’s also a nice kid-oriented museum, a shop and a cafeteria, as well as picnic tables outside. Perfect for a day-off with children.
