Myself, my 10 year old daughter and our dog Maddie stayed at Hawthorn Farm for one night in September 2017.
We had a really warm welcome from the owners (and Charlie the golden retriever) who came over to speak to us about the history of the building. They were also more than happy to point us in the direction of local dog friendly pubs in Buxton and points of interest nearby.
Lovely, clean and spacious accommodation with tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits etc provided in the room. The TV signal in our room wasn't the best, but that's to be expected in the countryside and there was free WiFi provided in the rooms too.
Loved the fact that the rooms were all separate from the main house with their own front doors, as it didn't feel like you were in a B&B, more like a holiday cottage!
Breakfast was superb. They were more than happy to provide a vegetarian breakfast too.
Overall we wouldn't hesitate to return to Hawthorn Farm. I don't think you can get a better stay in the Peak District for that price, right on the doorstep of the Goyt Valley and Buxton town centre.
Can't wait to come back again! More
