“Relaxing 60th birthday gift”
Reviewed 21 April 2016 for a stay in April 2016

My wife and I (along with our dog) took my mum and her two dogs to the cottage as a gift for her 60th birthday.
The owners were very helpful and friendly and provided us with a bottle of Prosecco and scones as a welcome gift, which was very much appreciated.
The cottage was excellent value for money, clean, cosy and very comfortable.
Meikle Logie Cottage is ideally situated for access to Dunkeld and the surrounding visitor attractions and towns.
We had a fantastic time and particularly enjoyed gazing at the moon and the stars from the skylight using the telescope.
The wood stove burner was brilliant too and we would like to visit again in the future.
We would recommend investment in a slightly larger TV and a hot tub could be a feature to consider in the future.
However, an excellent weekend was had by all of us and I would strongly recommend Meikle Logie Cottage to any visitor (Scottish or from further afield) to consider staying here.
Thank you for a lovely stay, the whole weekend exceeded expectations and more.

“Fantastic cottage in beautiful countryside”

We travelled to Meikle Logie as a group friends and family and stayed there for a wonderful long weekend.

Tiffy, the owner made us feel very welcome when we arrived. She even left us a bottle of wine and some homemade biscuits, which was very nice. She also said that we could take lettuce and vegetable from their garden.

The cottage is extremely well equipped with anything you might need on your holiday. It had a very cosy feel to it, and we spent a lovely evening with the log-burning fire on. The views from the garden are brilliant.

The surrounding countryside is just gorgeous. We walked to Dunkeld via the water fall at the Rumbling Bridge and then the Hermitage. It was a fantastic walk which is suitable for young children. Our three-year old loved exploring the area on his balancing bike.

“spacious, quiet, great value for money”

We stayed for three weeks, the holiday cottage is joined to the family home but remains private. There are birds of prey and even a pine martin to view from both the kitchen/lounge sitting area and upstair balcony. Kitchen is well supplied and chairs comfortable including suitable TV requirements. There is a shared games room which amuses teenagers and younger children. Friendly hosts and wonderful home baked treats too. The cottage is very clean and airy including quality furniture and bedding. A wonderful place to stay, which you will return to again and again.

“Lovely location, peaceful yet central for visiting lots of places”

The cottage is lovely, all on one level except for the sitting room on a mezz level which is a great place to chill. The owner welcomed us with freshly baked cake and some milk ( we had forgotten milk!) In the morning the sun is on the living room and lots of birds come to feed on the feeder , in the afternoon you can sit out in the back garden with a panoramic view of the hills. The decor of the cottage is tasteful. There are lots of walks from the cottage and one evening we walked to the Hermitage which is about a 4 miles there and back. It's also worth going to see the Rumbling Bridge and again an easy walk. Whilst at the cottage we visited Pitlochry, the Queens View, Perth and had a day in Edinburgh. Dunkeld itself is about 10 mins drive, has a small supermarket, a fish and chip shop and a couple of places to eat yet the cottage feels very rural, so all in all a great location if you want to walk or visit towns/ cities and tourist sights.

“A fantastic, gorgeous place of tranquility, pure bliss....”
Reviewed 12 May 2014 for a stay in May 2014

A beautifully converted steading, with the most thoughtful calming decor throughout. Meikle Logie has the most amazing views over the countryside in a peaceful location. Super walks to Dunkeld (about 4 miles) along the riverside. The perfect place to chillout or for a family holiday. We even had homemade scones waiting for us, and a bottle of Rose wine in the fridge upon our arrival...fabulous!
