Description: Public house and venue situated on the banks of the river Tay, in Highland Perthshire. The Taybank changed hands in Summer 2014 and is currently undergoing some much needed, and significant renovation work. During the renovation, the bar has been open, the kitchen continues to get better and better under the supervision of our fantastic new head chef, and our music sessions play on... We had lunch at The Taybank after asking Siri to recommend dog friendly places in the area where we could eat with the pooches. This was a great find. Quite rustic but food was fab and staff were excellent. We both had Cajun Chicken which was very nicely cooked - real BBQ flavour. Took a wander after lunch down to the river just opposite hotel. Great spot.

We ate lunch and dinner here during a stay in Dunkeld. The location is perfect right by the river, and the food was excellent. I liked eating a meal inside as well as outside and enjoyed the old building.

Group of 8 of us booked a table for food on Sat 21st July. Just to summarise, here are some tips: Tell customers you have no burgers either the steak or chicken BEFORE letting them read the menu then they wont pick them! If you only have 2 portions of Cod left, don't cut them up so that you spin them out to make 3 - or are they really that small? Explain AHEAD that we will have to move because the band is coming on. If the Chefs go home at 8.30 (really?) then SAY that the waitresses/bar staff will only be able to offer the 2 Eton mess that were left over, and wont have the skills to prepare a cheeseboard. Oh, and if customers look disappointed at the above after spending £200, Try not to have the Bar staff (The really small girl) Tell them that you make enough money anyway and dont need us. Good luck in Business :)

Enjoyed dishes of fresh fish and pasta on a warm July day. Local musicians playing on the terrace. Dog friendly inside and out.
