We had a great stay at this inn, could have sat in the sofa looking out over the Firth for days! Breakfast was great, chef Elliott prepares a perfect scrambled egg! We also enjoyed our dinners at the Osborne: a great place for steaks and meats. Every table by the window has a pair of binoculars provided, in case a seal or porpoise makes an appearance!

Room Tip: ask for a front-facing view = the best views over the Firth of Clyde

Lovely setting for wholesome meals. Quite diverse menu and generous portion sizes. Venison main was tender and delicious. Others had lamb which was well presented and said to be succulent and tasty.
Lovely staff and good wine selection.

We had dinner here a few months ago, and more recently went for lunch. Both times we were more than pleased with our meals. Their steak dinners are really good...both of ours were cooked in exactly the way we asked for them. At our recent lunch, my husband had a crab sandwich which he said was great..very generous with the crab meat, served with a nice little salad. I had a classic Welsh Rarebit, which is something you don't find on many restaurant menus, and it too was really delicious! We shared a creme brûlée for dessert, and wished we had ordered two! The service here is really friendly and very attentive, and the view is fantastic from every table. This one is well worth trying!

Whilst in the area for business I stumbled over this little gem of a restaurant, although a Tuesday night the restaurant was quite busy. Friendly and helpful staff with a great range of drinks. Fantastic enormous steak cooked to perfection. If you are ever in the area try this fantastic place.
