Basic but clean, comfortable accommodation. Good value. Booked a single room and had a double plus single with en suite shower without further charge. Complimentary tea/coffee available. Staff extremely helpful. Room was at front and possibly above boiler so slightly noisy but tolerable -far from excessive. Parked around the corner. Perfect for an evening arrival and early start.

Room Tip: Rooms at rear may perhaps be quieter

Just stayed here for 1 night as a stop on the way to South England.
A singular host received us, he looked very busy and not that talkative, however it wasn't a problem as we hadn't anything to ask.
We booked a triple room with a private bathroom and it looked quite old, but was pretty clean and not too small.
There were plenty of towels and there was a good shower in a quite spacious bathroom.
The hotel is in a good location, not far from the town centre.
We had some troubles reaching the building by car beacuse of some road work, so we tried to left the car on a street not far from the hotel and we didn't use this kind of facility given by the property. However, parking on the street was free just for night hours, so we had to wake up pretty early in the morning to leave.
We hadn't any problems with sleeping, any noise or something like that.
In the end, it wasn't that cheap but there was nothing bad to report.

Well what can I say. Very (I mean very) basic accommodation. You got literally a small bedroom. Shared bathroom down the hall. Breakfast was included. Still not cheap. Just finished a multi continent motorcycle trip so I have had my fill of hotels. I would say that (apart from a guest house in a very remote area of Kyrgyzstan) even in the most remote areas of China I still had my own bathroom. Still it is what it is. 100% booked the night I stayed there. Demand rules. Close to Chunnel and ferries at Dover. Comfortable and safe. Owner was great and bent over backwards to help.

Good basic b & b room clean, although our room was on the main road so was quiet noisy all night, before not much sleep. Bathroom clean, we did not have breakfast as had to catch a early train.

Think it would be best to ask for a room at the back.

This hotel was comfortable, and the owner was very hospitable. He rang us beforehand to advise on parking. We arrived quite late, and he offered to make us a meal. As we are vegetarian, he made sure that we were catered for for breakfast,
