Very Unhappy. The adjacent restaurant/pub was closed for refurbishment on morning of 19th Feb so no breakfasts available. This fact wasn't made clear at time of booking. Travelling with young family who were in a sports competition that day and needed a proper breakfast.

WhitbreadHotels, Online Customer Service at Premier Inn Huddersfield West Hotel, responded to this reviewResponded 26 February 2016

Hi Lunn;Mrs.hilary L

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay at our hotel.

At Premier Inn it is our aim is to make our guests feel brilliant through a great night’s sleep and part of this is to deliver a high standard of customer service in all our establishments and we do apologise that on this occasion we failed to achieve this.
I can confirm that there is a note on our website under 'Important Info' for this hotel to advise that complimentary breakfast boxes will be provided as the restaurant will be closed for refurbishment. This is to make our guests aware should they need to make alternative arrangements, however I apologise for any inconvenience this caused.

Your feedback is very much appreciated as it enables us to improve standards and your comments will be followed up by our Website Team. Thank you once again for your review.

Kind Regards

Amy Thacker

Room very comfortable, warm, clean and spacious. Coffee making facilities, hairdryer, hanging space, wifi. Modern bathroom with lots of hot water. Over bath shower best pressure yet at a Premier! And of course,, a very very comfy bed.
Staff friendly and obliging.
Breakfast cold choices were not as many as some Premier Inns, but the cooked breakfast choice was good. Put this down to the Nags Head, where breakfast is served, adjacent to hotel was shortly to be refurbished. Looking forward to staying again when this establishment has been changed into a Vintage Inn. Car parking ample on a wet February evening. Could perhaps get busy in summer when Vintage Inn is up and running.

Room Tip: Although triple glazed a room overlooking the pub is quieter as the M62 is very close by on the other side.

You generally know what you're getting with a Premier Inn, and with this one being recently refurbished, you know the rooms are going to be nice.

Pro-tip - upgrade the wi-fi: the basic free wi-fi is ok for browsing and emails but too slow to really do anything.

Breakfast is good at the Nags Head next door (avoid for dinner though).

Location is a bit out of the way, and maybe too near to the motorway (M62) for some. But it's walkable to some nearby restaurants, and takeaways will deliver here.

Room Tip: Get the upgraded wi-fi

Spacious clean and comfortable room. Room temperature also easy to regulate so neither too cold or too hot. Staff very helpful and knowledgeable about area and Nags Head Inn next door served reasonably price, honest food. Generally value for money.

Room Tip: Ground floor, even numbers up to 20 are definitely well away from M62 traffic noise

This is our second stay here. Very friendly staff offered a warm welcome. Clean, bright rooms with large screen TV. Comfortable, clean beds, plus all you can eat breakfast. What more can you ask for on an overnight stay?
