My husband and I booked the top 2 floors at the Windmill for 3 nights last week and enjoyed every minute.
After seeing such good reviews we weren't disappointed with our stay and wholeheartedly agree its a fabulous place. Nicola and Andy are friendly and welcoming which just adds to this experience.
Handily situated and we walked into town within 10 mins.
The Windmill itself has everything you need for a lovely stay and whoever decorated and furnished it (Nicola?) has an excellent eye for detail.
This really was a great find and we hope to return. Thanks for a brilliant stay. #lovedit

We thought we knew Scarborough pretty well, but had never seen a windmill. All that has changed when we booked to stay at the Windmill for a weekend.

The property is just off the main A64 into Scarborough, 2 mins walk from the railway station, although it is a quiet location. Parking is private and there is basically a space for each holiday let, although they are not marked.

We were greeted by the owners who offered us a map and a warm welcome, we arrived early and went into town for lunch and a wander. Upon our return we were shown to our room(5) which was a lovely solid 4 poster with bath and shower. Room was spotless and everything was great. Bed really comfortable.

Breakfast was ordered the day before, we had the full breakfast both days, really good with good extras like choice of cereals, yoghurt and great condiments like tabasco sauce and Lea & Perrins!

All in all an excellent stay, would definitely stay again.

Such a great stay and location, between 10 of us we took the first floor of the windmill and both cottages. We were made to feel welcome by andy who just wanted everyone in our party to be happy. Parking was good too

I had been in contact with the owner via email and so knew exactly where to go. We were greeted by them warmly and shown to our beautiful room. It was extremely well presented and the attention to detail second to none. The breakfasts were delicious, cooked to order and served in a lovely dining room in the windmill itself. And to top it off it’s only a ten minute walk into town! We will be sure to return.

This is situated amongst some unpromising back streets in the Town. However it is a gem of a place, lovingly refurbished and cared for by it's on-site owners. Our accommodation was in the Windmill itself, which is a little more expensive than the rooms around the courtyard. On one floor is an incredibly comfortable living room with a kitchen and dining area and the bedroom and wet-room bathroom is on the next floor accessed by some steep steps (Not recommended for people with mobility problems, go for one of the ground floor apartments). The place is spotless from top to bottom. Free Wi Fi (unsecured). This is self-catering but we were given a voucher as a gift which included an excellent breakfast. This place is a real treat to stay in, with friendly hosts and we shall be back.

Room Tip: If you have the nerve for outside staircases, go for the upper rooms of the Windmill.
