We stopped at Cayton Bay for 3 nights (7th-10th October 2011). The check-in is confusing as it is not in the main reception but in the show room on the complex. Once this was found we were quickly checked in and given a map, directions and the keys to our caravan.
The caravan was 'Bronze' level and was roomy but basic with 2 bedrooms (one double with en-suite toilet and 2 singles), a small bathroom with shower and toilet and a kitched/living area. There was lots of storage space.
As we had won a free weekend here we weren't too bother about the caravan as it hadn't cost us anything.
The show room was large and the acts at night were average, the entertainment staff were very good though and were always on hand to help. Be warned, the cost of the drinks in the show room were on the steep side, over £8 for a pint and a large white wine. we found the pub just over the road was alot cheaper - £6 for the same drinks !.
The resort is a good base to explore the area being near the main road connecting Scarborough and Filey.
I would only go back if it was free again, its not worth the price printed in their holiday brochure.
