I've been wanting to eat here for a while as I heard good things and saw good reviews and it's in a lovely spot it Sidmouth. It was a really miserable day and we were greeted by a smiling waitress who was really accommodating given that we had a pram and a dog and were soaked! We sat on a really comfortable table and ordered fish and chips and it was delicious. The fish was the star, covered in a very light batter with lovely homemade tartare and crushed peas. It's definitely the higher end of what you pay for this type of meal but the service was excellent and we all felt very relaxed here so we left feeling happy. Little things like making sure my daughter was happy with a pot of crayons really go a long way. We will definitely return.

Dropped in with my daughter and had a quick bite, pate & pizza. Most enjoyable time had relaxing in a very cozy restaurant with wonderful sea view. Allowing dogs was a bonus. The pizza was exceptional and surely 'stood out' in what is already a competitive product. The chef clearly enjoys the work as his/ her professionalism was passed onto us in the form of some very tasty, well presented cuisine.A very relaxing atmosphere fronted by courteous staff. Thanks pea green boat. Will return.

We have had lunch at this restaurant several times. On each occasion the food has been excellently cooked. It is obvious that the ingredients are fresh. The Moules mariniere are especially good. Fish and chips and whitebait are perfectly cooked and the batter is perfect.
It is a little expensive especially the wine list.
Good seating inside and out with a sea front view. Friendly and helpfull owners and staff

A new chef had started the day we visited and the evening we visited was his first service of dinner.

The staff were very attentive and helpful. We were served by Freddie who was very polite, courteous and helpful. We ordered a gin and tonic and were offered a variety of gin's. We chose the local one as we were told it was popular. It was delicious and served with a quality tonic, although a little pricey.

I ordered the mussels to start, followed by turbot, that was a special, for my main course and crème brulee for desert. The food was all very good, especially the turbot
that was cooked to perfection.

We had a bottle of the house white that was really nice and very quaffable!

Overall a good experience and if I'm in Sidmouth again I'll revisit this restaurant.

High hopes friendly staff nice well presented pre dinner gin and tonic
Fresh and very tasty fish cake and smoked mackerel pate starter
Lovely bottle of Malbec
The main course of ribeye steak a huge disappointment cooked as I asked but a poor quality tasteless piece of meat chewy and bland !
If you are cutting costs reduce the side accompanying items ... No one needs 6 cherry tomatoes roasted on the vine !
