“Great Wedding Venue!!”
Reviewed 30 September 2012

Thank you for ensuring my son and daughter in law's wedding was extra special. The day went so smoothly, the atmosphere was relaxed, the food was delicious and the entertainment was brilliant. All the Pinewood staff were very polite, child friendly and helpful, catering for our every need. We stayed over the night of the wedding and breakfast this morning was very good. We sat in the gardens and had coffee in the sunshine and struggled to leave to make our way home. A great time was had by all, a first class venue.

Dear Sandra C

It is always lovely to receive such great feedback. We enjoy weddings very much, so it nice to be recognised for this. In fact we have just been short-listed for 2 wedding awards by The Wedding Industry Awards, for our great venue and wedding planning!
We do hope you are able to pop by soon, if not keep in touch on our Facebook page.
Best Regards
Craig Webb

We stayed at the pinewood hotel for a weekend break as we wanted to visit Windsor. It was in a good location ad Windsor was only a short drive away. The rooms were comfortable and modern . Pay for movie channels would have been a welcome addition. The first evening of our stay we had dinner in the restaurant in the hotel. Unfortunately there was a wedding function in the room next door and the music was very loud. The manager was very understanding and gave us one of our meals free. The food was very nice, however it wasn't a very relaxing meal and the air conditioning was on way too high so I was quite pleased to leave and head back to our room. Breakfast was ok but again the room was too cold for comfort. It was a pleasant stay if you are looking for somewhere to stay to explore Windsor.

Dear Gisele C

Thank you so much for your feedback. On the whole a positive stay. I remember the incident with the disco noise coming through to the restaurant. I hope the remedial action I took helped reduce this somewhat, as it was not ideal if you are trying to have a romantic meal.
We do have a wedding most weekends in the summer, and disco music can be heard in the restaurant from around 8.30-9pm.
We do hope you will come back again when visiting beautiful Windsor.
Kind Regards
Craig Webb

My partner and I stayed at the Pinewood Hotel for two nights in September, primarily choosing it as a base for our visit to Thorpe Park. The hotel was great in all respects. It is secluded and has lovely grounds (we saw rabbits and a monkjack deer). There are gazebos and seating areas outside if you get the weather so you can relax and enjoy a drink. There is plenty of parking space.

We received a very warm welcome from reception and were given our key to our room which was in the annex (due to there being a wedding that day and the hotel not wanting us to be disturbed by any possible noise). The room was great. Above average in size with a super kingsize bed, very modern, clean bathroom and plenty of wardrobe and drawer space.

The room had its own safe (free of charge), iron and ironing board, tea/coffee/chocolate making facilities (and biscuits), hairdryer and very nice complimentary toiletries.

The bed was very comfortable and the room was well decorated. We were not disturbed by any noise at any time and had two great nights sleep.

The food in the Eden Restaurant was excellent. Breakfast was anything from the traditional full English, to Eggs Benedict, Eggs Royale, freshly made omelettes, cereal, fresh fruit, cheese and cold meats and pastries/muffins. Such a choice and perfectly cook each day.

We had a meal in the Eden Restaurant on our second night and it was exquisite. Very well presented and top quality food. You must try the burger and the Eton mess.

All the staff at the Pinewood were very friendly and helpful from reception to waiters to housekeeping.

We found the hotel a great base for our day at Thorpe Park (about a 20 minute drive) and it was also very well placed for a trip in to Windsor (about 15 minute drive).

We would definitely recommend this hotel and will definitely return on our next visit to the area.

The situation of the hotel is very tranquil with beautifully landscaped gardens and thoughtful positioning of gazeboes and outdoor seating.
The twin room which I shared with my son was restful, comfortable, clean and quiet.
There was a safe large enough for a laptop, a mini bar and ironing board with iron.
Room service was excellent and good value for money for a hotel.
The bathroom was excellent and very modern.
The range and standard of foods for breakfast was superb. I had the best eggs Benedict ever.
The TV in our room had a poor picture quality which we reported when we checked out.
The only downside for me was the fact that I hadn't realised that the fitness centre wasn't on site. I had hoped to relax while my son used the fitness facilities.
The fitness centre is great and son loved using it. I waited in the cafe area.
Everyone was polite and very helpful and efficient.
Overall, this is a fabulous place to stay and I will definitely stay here again, and can highly recommend it.

Room Tip: Do be aware that the fitness centre is not in walking distance.

Thank you very much indeed for the positive review, we are pleased you enjoyed your stay with us.
Thank you also for pointing out that the free Health Club our guests can use is about 1 mile away at Nuffield Health Club, Stoke Poges. (It is not really walking distance due tot he country lane without a footpath).
We very much forward to welcoming you back in the future. By the way we have just launched a new menu in our restaurant for the winter months.

We travelled here from Milton Keynes for a family wedding
We had a warm welcome & efficient check in at reception. We booked an executive room and were given room 2 on the ground floor and literally steps away from the room where the reception was held! Very handy as the public toilets were down a flight of steps. We had a big cosy bed with beautiful bed linen. The bathroom was spotless and lovely toiletries were provided. Tea/ coffee / chocolate facilities were plentiful. There was an iron & board, hairdryer and fridge full of drinks ( we didn't use any of this so don't know if they were overpriced or not)
I liked how the hotel decorated the reception room and how we were welcomed back from the ceremony with a glass of bubbly and led out to the grounds where there was plenty of seating and gazebos. The photographs were taken outside as it provided a lovely background.
The tables were cleared efficiently and the waiter service for our meal was very good.
We were given a varied breakfast menu in the restaurant in the morning. We opted for the full English which is served to you along with refillable coffee/ tea, we helped ourselves to juice. Breakfast was piping hot, tasty & plentiful.
All in all the staff were very friendly and efficient and the I would recommend this hotel for wedding or any other gatherings.

Room Tip: We loved room 2
