A new hotel that is very good value. Rooms are larger than the Ibis and Sheraton, huge shower and very quiet. We received a friendly greeting and check in was quick and efficient. We opted for the extra 10 pounds to receive 24hrs wifi and car parking, but they offer many other services. We checked out early so didn't try breakfast but it looked fresh with a good selection.

As others have stated it's not near terminal 5.
It is a clean and modern hotel and if you have transport its a lot cheaper than staying at heathrow.
The "hotel hoppa" bus service is avaliable to Heathrow but you do have to pay each way per person.
My room was very clean and the bed comfortable.
There is a Marks & Spencer mini store in the petrol station opposite which is good for food & drinks.
The cooked breakfast is mediocre.

Pros - The hotel seems pretty new, to the point that even the carpet smelt new. The staff were very friendly and the decor spotless. The room itself was not large, but acceptable. The bedding was clean and the bathroom was lovely with what looked to be a very inviting large sized shower, once again spotless with soft white towels.
For the price I was very impressed as breakfast was included which had everything you could hope to find available.Parking was £7.50 on top of the room price but once again no complaints as the car park was well lit and at the back of the hotel.
Cons - Everything was perfect until we came to having our wonderful shower. The water was hot but it was my daughter who mentioned that it was not up to much. The pressure was pretty feeble and it did not live up to what we had expected from looking at it. My daughter actually said that as it looked so nice she had expected the shower to be good but was instead disappointed - expectations were set high by the decor. The shower was not bad, just that there was little water pressure, so a bit disappointing. The shower and sink had lovely soaps and body washes in the bathroom - refillable and not ones to take home with you :-)
The other thing I noticed myself was that the bed was not the best quality - once again, not bad but just not a good quality mattress. I slept perfectly well, but could tell the difference in the quality if the mattress and pillows between the Express and a higher priced hotel. The sofa bed had been made up but was not really very comfy and when I knelt on it to shut the curtains I felt the very obvious wire in the springs. My daughter chose to sleep in the bed with me rather than have her own because of this.
Despite this though - I would definitely stay again as the price paid was so reasonable and with such new decor it is a pleasure to stay in.

First of all i will add i am not one for writing bad reviews but im afraid this was well deserved and if it wasnt for the fact i had got this at a very last minute.com rate then i would have only rated it as Poor. Booking in was simple and the hotel and room was clean and modern thats about it. The mattress was cheap and very uncomfortable so we had a terrible nights sleep, food and drink within hotel was expensive and parking a total rip off as you have to pay £7+ to park your car over night, with regards to parking if you are leaving your car close to terminal 5 give yourself about 10-15 minutes from the hotel its not exactly right around the corner, by bus i believe the hotel charges you from the hotel to aiport so look into before booking as some hotels do not charge. Last but not least i asked for an early morning call as our flight was at 6am and received nothing so good job we set our own alarms otherwise we would have missed our flight, when mentioning this to the receptionist all i received in reply was a scrunch of the shoulders and a lack luster sorry. Word of advice there are much better hotels at Heathrow which do great deals search about before you make your mind up.

This is a really nice new hotel which is one of the best Holiday Inn Express' I have stayed in. There was a modern feel to the hotel with a decent size room, spacious bathroom (and shower) which even had a blue night light, and breakfast was of a really good quality (something which usually lets a HIEx down). The bar staff were also friendly and helpful. Just make sure your room door is shut properly as with being fairly new the doors seem to stick and it looks locked but isn't (housekeeping managed to leave the door on the latch during my stay but nothing went missing). Overall though, I'm quite impressed and would definitely stay here again!
