The World Cup was on and we went to this fabulous restaurant. The food was sublime, the service was very friendly and we will be back soon. Excellent evening.

Turned up yesterday with my two kids and asked to sit outside. I asked if the had a kids menu - answer was no. Bit weird, I thought, but never mind.

I then explained that one of my children had allergies and asked for an allergy menu - answer was no again. They also didn’t seem to know what was in their dishes and weren’t very helpful in offering suggestions.

In the end we went round the corner to the Red Lion, who couldn’t have been more helpful (their burger buns have milk in but they went into the kitchen to check what bread they could use as a replacement, and came back with suggestions). They also had an comprehensive ensive allergy menu.

Visited the restaurant with friends last Friday. My first time and one of my friends had recommended. I had no idea the Waggoners was there. Really tucked away. We all chose the tasting menu of 5 courses and what a delight. 5 courses for £30 was an unbelievably good price, bargain! We were definitely not disappointed by any of the food. A really mixture of lots of elements with some really pleasant surprises. Service was outstanding. The owner was incredibly friendly. We saw Chef David at the end and we were so pleased. His food was absolutely delicious! An amazing first experience at The Waggoners and we will definitely be back. Thank you to all the team for looking after us so well.

Right, where to start? First of all the location is lovely. You wind down a small country lane and there it is - pretty as a picture. The staff (Dave the Frenchman etc), are absolutely fab, a great laugh and hugely personable. AND the food is amazing. Black pudding with apple and mash was my choice, and I’d go back time and again just for that. Even the green stuff on top was yum. Just go there.
