We opted for this hotel and wasn’t disappointed, needed to be close to Carlisle Hospital and this was only a ten min drive away.
We felt so welcome on arrival and very Covid Safe. There was hot breakfasts, lunches and evening meals available for residents.
The room was amazing (220) very clean and comfortable with great views of the city centre square.
We would highly recommend this hotel and hope to return after lockdown for a romantic few days away.

stayed at the hotel the first week in november before lockdown. Booked a junior suite and was up graded to a suite. It was £132 and a suite was £160 ish. I have stayed in nicer suites at the Roker hotel and The Hilton in Leeds. The first thing it says in the description you get mineral water there was none so had to ask its says dressing gown and slippers and I asked for them to be told because of covert they did not give them out but had left loads of towels in bathroom so what's the difference, and we had not brought dressing gowns with use. The kettle was not the cleanest and the plug in the bath was broken, it was very noisy out side as it was single glazed windows and you could hear all the traffic. And there was no information on Carlile in the room as in where to eat what to see doctors menus nothing. I had a 3 star inn and we had all the info for our guests.

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay we do appreciate all feedback with regards to the hotel and facilities.
We have had to make some changes with regards to what we can put into rooms as we have to keep within the Government Guidelines.
Hopefully once we are out of these unprecedented times we can make sure those little extras that can make a stay are put back in for these staying in the future.

I stayed one night on a business trip and considering the current situation it was fabulous. All measures are in place to keep you safe and the staff are great and very helpful. I had my evening meal in the restaurant which again was fabulous and good value for money. I will definitely be back

Great friendly welcome at check in . Comfortable, clean rooms- although a bit dated. Hotel is in a central location and very reasonable priced.. Friendly professional staff, couldn't have been nicer. Fab breakfast!

We stayed for 2 nights in a small double, which was fine. Room and bathroom were clean, however the bed was very soft and uncomfortable. Woke up both days with a sore back.
The location was absolutely perfect for us, and you walk out the front door to the main shopping area.
The pool was closed due to COVID, but we knew that before booking, so wasn’t a problem.
What annoyed us was that the family in our corridor next to room 144 were very noisy, and we were awake from about 6:30 with people coming and going and knocking doors constantly.
We also booked breakfast, and it was a shambles. We ordered our tea/coffee, toast, cereal and cooked breakfasts all at once. It was only half full. The tea/coffee came and so did the toast. We then waited....and waited.....and waited for our cereal and OJ. I mentioned to a waitress and we then got our OJ, but then the cooked breakfast came and we hadn’t received the cereal yet. We just took the cooked meals as they would probably have just been reheated for us while we had our cereal. Not worth the money, and the portion size of beans was a bit cringey.
I got a tastier breakfast in the Tesco on the way out of Carlisle for HALF the price.
In summary, I would probably try somewhere else, which is a shame, as my first impression had been good. It’s a nice old fashioned building. Got parked at the back ok once we found the car park. You need to use the separate postcode (CA3 8HB) to find it, as the front of the hotel is pedestrianised.
