A complete sham of a weekend . There were a number of bad things I have to inform people about .
1.the hotel stunk of fried food chips and pork, really off putting .
2. We climbed 3 flights of stairs the carpets were in terrible condition. The lift was only for 2 people .
3.The carpet in the room was in terrible state. Couldn’t walk bare foot it was so dirty hardly been hoovered.
4. The curtain rail was hanging of the skin of its teeth . Terrible deco and outdated .
5. The bathroom tap had parts missing and was broken, the shower cold isn’t work properly.
6. The bathroom panel was manky and broken .
7. My daughter had a shower and the shower rail fell on her and hit her head .
8. The room wasn’t cleaned when we put the notice up .

9. Noise from seagulls kept us awake and people shouting from pubs and bars .
10. It was too hot and couldn’t sleep , so asked for a fan .
The breakfast in bags due to Covid was cheap and cheerful .
I can go on but a real shambles of a hotel . Definitely won’t come here again . A terrible and shabby hotel . Staff were good and beds were okay.
Don’t know how this place is still running, won’t be booking here again!

We stayed overnight on the night of 27th August. We were very dubious after reading reviews, but it was a cheap hotel near the train station.

When we got there, the receptionist was very pleasant and courteous.

The room we were staying in looked tired and needed some work, saying this the room was clean and the bed very comfortable.

The deal we got included a bottle of Prosecco. This was a nice touch in the room.

Overall, we were happy with the room and also the location of the hotel

We nearly didn’t stay here after reading the reviews ,however we were pleasantly surprised,it is what it is a business hotel in the middle of Carlisle , the staff were very helpful especially the ladies on the desk other staff we met were very friendly. We were impressed with our room very spacious family room with a double bed and a proper single bed for our Autistic son . It is in the middle of the entertainment district so some noise and food smells are inevitable but we slept like logs , we would definitely stay again

Room tip: Round the back is quieter but they do provide earplugs if required we didn’t need them
