Went and had a set menu rather than early bird. There was more food than we could physically eat and it was delicious. The only gripes I have are that all the soup is the same soup and its all so hot the bowls melt!!! Was a nice change from usual places. Would go again.

Thank megglestone

Had our first meal in the (now Thai corner) . We had the early bird menu and found it very nice, although the soup is very very spicy. We went in at 6 o,clock and it was very busy, recommend booking at this time before the show at the Civic. At £10 for three courses I think it's reasonable. Going again before the show next week.

Atmosphere non existent. Surroundings dingy. Service OK but not overly friendly. Food just edible. Not a very good start to an evening at the theatre. Took a friend and was embarrassed! Do not recommend and would not go again.

Excellent location for a meal before going to the theatre opposite the restaurant.
Having booked, arrived on time...were given menus and waited...and waited. The lady in charge was not particularly welcoming when we asked for some service. Family at the next table got their meals, but they "forgot" the rice and appeared to get the order wrong.
However...when the food arrived it was very tasty and could not be faulted...and we still made the performance as we had allowed plenty of time.
Pre-show dining must be their busiest time - need to look at their service before we would return.

We were part of a large group booked for a pre theatre meal. We arrived at 5.30pm ordered and then waited and waited.
By 6.45 we had had the starter and soup with no little sign of the main course. We reminded them that we needed to be out in 30 minutes and slowly food arrived. We didn't have time to eat the main courses, and had to leave without the sweet course.
What went wrong? No idea, maybe they were understaffed, maybe they couldn't cope with the number of bookings they had. Whatever the reasons the restaurant didn't provide good service and we arrived at the theatre tense and only just in time.
Would we go back? No.
