In the summer you just can’t rely on picking up a bus. Hoardes if OAP’s pile onto the bus for their free travel meaning it’s quite difficult for actual paying customers to find a spot. Also expect queues at the other end coming back. Oh, and font bank on sitting upstairs as this is the most popular spot and normally full. More services in summer are required.

Took this option rather than drive, so that we could walk from Studland to Swanage. Picked up the bus from Bournemouth Station and after crossing from Sandbanks on the Ferry, got off at Studland. After a beautiful walk past Old Harry's Rocks, and on to Swanage, cream tea, walk to the bus Station to catch the bus back to Bournemouth Station. Bus ran on time, drivers were very polite and helpful, lovely views on journey, will definitely do this again.

Awful experience. The bus was approximately 45 late from Studland to Swanage. For the £7.40 fair (2 singles), we should have got a cab!

We decided on a December Sunny Day to get on the Breezer, we alighted at Branksome Chine, near the beach, our destination was Studland. We walked down Middle Chine, had some soup at the cafe on the beach.
On walking back along the beach to the ferry, the wind got up, so we detoured through the dunes to the gorse, had a lovely protected walk back to the ferry. Got back on the Breezer to Branksome, where we had left our car.
We walked about 6 miles and throughly enjoyed it!

We waited for the 50 at the Studland bus stop, we asked for 2 singles to Swanage Railway station : we were shocked when were told the 10 min ride and approx 3 miles was £3.70 each! When I queried the price with the driver he was abrupt and bad tempered saying " I don't make the prices". I couldn't help but wonder if he had checked the price; as by the time we got on the 50 had more or less completed its journey!
If indeed we had paid the right price then it is very expensive!
