Crab claws had a really crispy breadcrumb coating and tasted great. Reminded my wife of somewhere abroad where she used to eat the best crab claws. I had the calamari which had a light crisp batter and perfectly cooked calamari. Our friends also had great starters.
The main courses matched the starters for quality and quantity. The fish and chips had a plateful of chips under the fish. Again the batter was light and crispy. Fish pie full of flavour and our friends said the same about their meals.

All in all we all enjoyed our meals and had no room for afters.
Good food, good prices and good ambiance.

Thank DorsetFoody

A good find in Poole Quay. A comfortable pub with very friendly, welcoming staff. The food was very good and reasonably priced. The roast chicken was plentiful and the swordfish a nice change. All freshly cooked and dog friendly too.

We had dinner here the other evening because we had heard about the pubs new gimmick. Order any bottle of wine and you get the cheese board, as much as you can eat for £17.50 . The cheese board has some fantastic selections and the Mediterranean bread is delicious and there is fruit to go with it. Their normal menu is good also . The pub is warm , friendly has a great atmosphere and a real fire .
