Superb air con rooms. The rooms are detached from the restaurant, so pretty quiet.
Everthing you need for a couple of nights. Very friendly staff.
Lovely English breakfast, otherwise not a lot of choice.

Iv stayed here a few times. The last on 24/07/2018 in room 112. The room was very quiet even though it's off a main road I didn't hear traffic. The air con was ice cold which given the weather was 34 outside was just what I needed. The staff were very polite and helpfull. Unfortunately I didn't her name on reception when I booked in. She was credit to the mermaids inn.
I am looking forward to my next stay with them

Great little find. Good value, big, comfortable room with free bottled water. Very clean, easy and free parking and breakfast was only £5.95, very good value for what was available. Would definitely stay again!!

The room was clean. One bedside light was not working. Pillows were of low quality and the bed was hard.Shower fixed overhead rose over deep bath. Inaccessible to any but fit people. No grab rails, no slip proof mat. No soap tray or caddy. No face cloths. Cheap toilet paper.Breakfast. No fresh fruit other than hard uneatable pears, old oranges and bananas. No plain yoghurt. Flies around uncovered food (bread, pastries ) Only one small cup of tea (complete with tea bag!) or coffee provided. No top up offered. For those not wanting cooked breakfast this did not represent value for money. We would not go to another Marstons establishment. The 'lite bite' menu consisted of burger buns filled with ham, cheese or turkey served with gravy and three or four roast potatoes. Lite??? I don't think so. Very disappointing, no attention to detail.

Room tip: Don't go there!

Fantastic value, hotel was modern, clean and bright with lots ofvparkkng. Staff were really helpful and fantastic location, shops nearby and reasonable distance from town. Breakfast was great value too. Evening entertainment in the pub was a bonus
