I spent a lovely weekend here at Haddon Hall with a group of friends from a women's club. It is always lovely to return to this hotel as the staff are brilliant and work so hard to ensure that your time with them is enjoyable. The food is varied and very good. The entertainment is great and it alwAys feels like one great party. Looking forward to returning for Turkey and Tinsel week. Well done Hatton Hall.

Stayed for a weekend break. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was good and plentiful. Entertainment on both evening(including bingo). The public areas were very clean. However, our room was very small and the furniture jaded, dated and battered.Window very difficult to open and close( old sash windows). Lots of dust around the edge of the carpet and in the wardrobe..The bathroom was fine and very clean( if rather small). This room is in desperate need of refurbishing. The hotel is in a good position opposite the bandstand and a short walk to the pier.

Have just returned from the Haddon Hall after staying a week for the air show on a coach holiday. On arrival we were allocated room 115H. This has to be the smallest twin room I have ever seen and in desperate need of renovation. As the room was above the kitchen, the heat was incredible, you could feel it through the carpet and before you even opened the door. The small windows only opened slightly and even though we were given a fan, this made no difference and the room was unbearable for sleeping in. We asked to move and were eventually moved on the Wednesday to a room which was much cooler and slightly bigger. It was a shame however, that the throw on the bed was stained, there was chewing gum on the head board and the ceiling was coming down. The food and service in the restaurant was very good but this was slightly let down by dirty crockery, finding wrappers in a dessert and a bread roll that was green. I have stayed at a number of hotels in Eastbourne, many cheaper than this one and all were better. Eastbourne itself was brilliant but this hotel is very disappointing and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Room Tip: Stay elsewhere.

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights on a mid week coach holiday with Gibbons Coaches. On our arrival, we were offered tea/coffee while porterage dealt with our luggage which was a nice touch but as it was a hot day, it would have been nice to have been offered a cold drink as well. Our double room was nicely furnished and very clean. The bed was very comfortable; however, the walk-in corner shower cubicle was a tad small and the toilet was crammed in the corner of the bathroom. It was not the most spacious of rooms but served its purpose. Strangely, though, the cold water ran warm and the shower, although on its coldest setting due to the hot weather, was also much hotter than was comfortable. The room could have benefited from having a fan but at least we could open the window, although due to faulty hinges, it could only be opened fully, so we had to take our chances with the screeching seagulls that never seem to sleep. The meals are nice, with plenty of choices and generous portions. The roast beef dinner was particularly good. There is entertainment most nights and bingo but none on Saturday night, which stirred up some complaints from fellow passengers, who felt that the hotel had let them down. Whilst the entertainment is not to everyone's taste, it was well received by the guests. This hotel's main asset is its staff, who are all friendly, courteous and patient, even during the chaos of mealtimes. Our waiter, Pedro, was simply amazing. He remembered everything and didn't slow down for a second but always with a smile. I also have to mention Tony on the night reception and Steve the barman, who are also worth their weight in gold. Yes, this hotel has a few issues but not enough to stop us from staying here again. Thank you to everyone at Haddon Hall for making our stay so enjoyable.

Room Tip: Double room 109 has a ealk in shower
