The Tamarind has everything in a quintessentially beautiful Bajan manner. I have stayed In many fine hotels around the world and I want to go back to this one. The setting, friendly professional service, fused together with the bajan, "No problem sir, you relax, we'll take care of it for you," attitude is worth every penny. The sea, beach, beach beds and towels, along with the complimentary watersports are of a high standard. The Tamarind is small and this adds to it's relaxed yet stylish ambience. A very safe hotel both for families and lively enough for couples without children. Everything is clean and tidy with any imperfection adding to the Tamarinds charm and character. There are many extras such as the water taxi to its sister hotels. It is no wonder the Tamarind was recommended to me by a frequent visitor to Barbados and has a repeat ratio of guests above 70%. The food was full of flavour and presented well. The rooms, bathrooms and amenties are all of a good standard, though a little tired in places. The Tamarind is well located to literally step out of the hotel and enjoy some really fabulous bars and restaurants. We are already planning a return visit and we only left 18 hours ago. Finally, the wonderful Omelette, poached egg and boiled egg chef who is in attendance nearly every morning needs a special mention. Ether , you put a smile on my face and make the most fabulous omlettes to start the day on. Thank you Ether and everyone at the Tamarind for making Christmas and New Year really speacial for me and my family.

Room Tip: Ask for a 2nd or 3rd floor rooms with pool/garden view and you will have wonderful sunsets to enjoy...

10 days in room 330 by Rilax Pool. The room was a refurbished one day and kept extremely clean throughout our time by housekeeping. The hotel is well maintained and clean throughout but we can see the other comments that some rooms back onto the near by road, which would be noisy and some common parts could do with further refurbishment.
The food, ranging from breakfast, pool meals and the top end 246 Restaurant was all of a very high standard. The high point being the Christmas turkey, which was really very good. Do be aware/ask about prices of any buffet as it can be high.
Our children, 8 and 6, had a lovely, safe time and thoroughly enjoyed the Flying Fish Kids Club.
The staff are exemplary as many other comments have noted.
We would recommend and happily return.

Just returned from a Xmas break at the Tamarind. The staff really made this holiday fabulous, our particular favourites were Andrea and Keimar but many others were great fun and very friendly. The hotel itself is in a great location with the beach practically on the doorstep. The Watersports were greatly enjoyed by 2 teenage boys. The only downside was our suite which looked a bit tired, in particular the bathroom. We also requested late check out when the hotel was booked weeks ago, but was told that this was not a guaranteed option, in the end the hotel was full and we had to check out at noon and wait a few hours for our pick up for the airport. Great food and great weather. The nightly entertainment was also very enjoyable. Many thanks - The Rae Party

We stayed at the resort for a week in late October 2014. This was our second visit to the resort and we are already looking forward to our next visit. The resort itself is on a great beach with lots of areas for swimming in the ocean. Can also take long walks in either direction and explore the coastline. Our room itself was spacious and the view from the balcony was wonderful, overlooking the ocean. What a great sight to wake up to each morning!

The staff at the resort are outstanding. Within 24 hours of our arrival, the restaurant staff knew our names and our room number. We are fans of the local cuisine and discovered that we could special order fish cakes each morning for breakfast - what a treat and thanks to the staff for taking care of that each morning. Hotel management were also great, knew our names, knew we were returning guests. The front desk staff also took care of numerous dinner reservations for us which allowed us to spend as much time as possible on the beach instead of making our own reservations.

The water sports are included at the resort and we took advantage of the wide array of things to do. Really enjoyed going out in the small catamaran - went out several times in the afternoons - great view of the coast from the water.

The food at the restaurants is excellent and the menu contains something for everyone. Bar service was also great. Enjoyed happy hour at the end of the day while watching the sun set from the beach.

We had a great vacation at the resort and will definitely stay there for our next vacation in Barbados. Thanks to the Tamarind staff for welcoming us back and ensuring that our vacation was relaxing and memorable.

Room Tip: Ask for an ocean view room - the view is well worth it.
