Stayed at Seashore villa with my mum, aunt, sister and husband. It is a great place for a group of people to share as there are little areas in and around the house that you can find for privacy or to be together.
The place itself is nothing fancy but very clean with air conditioned bedrooms and perfect for a beach villa. The outside area is a beautiful oasis. Sipping a morning coffee and listening to the waves crashing up on the sand was heavenly. It was fun to spot the hummingbirds in the garden and one day we saw a monkey hanging from one of our palm trees! We also saw a couple of sea turtles in the ocean right outside our place. Be sure to bring your goggles. :)
Always felt safe at Seashore. Bruce who lives in front of the rental will set up your beach chairs, provide information about the island and wash down the outside area a few times a week. He is an amazing guy! He cut up some coconuts one day and gave us a pitcher of fresh coconut juice. YUM! He was always there when we needed something. Was great to have him around.
The beach is very nice, but especially in the morning before 10:30am and after 3pm. In between these hours, the beach tends to get flooded with cruise ship visitors. We still were able to enjoy the serene atmosphere since we had our own chairs and umbrellas and didn't need to worry about saving any seats. The downfall of the beach is that the boats and seadoos come right in to the swimming areas and you feel like they may run right on top of you when you are swimming during the peak hours.
There is a great place right beside the villa called the Gazebo that you can grab a bite to eat, fresh fish sandwich, cheeseburger/fries, jerk chicken etc... it is very convenient being so close to the villa and was a delicious choice to dine at for lunch if you didn't feel like making anything.
Overall it is a great place to stay. Gorgeous location right near Sandy Lane. Who could complain staying right on the beach in Barbados! I would for sure come again. Sarah the property manager was great too. She was always there when needed and very helpful and friendly.
8 of us stayed here over Christmas and had a fantastic time. This quaint beach side property is in a perfect location. Being able to get up and step straight onto Paynes Bay for a morning swim and watching the sun set each evening is magical.
All the rooms have AC and the wifi was able to cope with all the photographs being sent home! Lovely outside dining area and beach loungers ensured we had a very memorable christmas lunch.
The help and advice from Sarah the manager from start to finish was excellent and we would certainly recommend this property to anyone looking for a smart but casual beachside property.
We booked seashore direct with Wally and Sarah at Calypso rentals for 1 week over Christmas. From booking to vacating the property we were looked after superbly and all the guests in our party of 8 were very impressed by the property, staff and location.
Situated directly on the beach in Paynes Bay it proved busy during the day with several catamarans per day mooring up in the bay but we were left with an almost empty beach for the sunsets each evening. The perfect spot for sundowners.
Security never seemed an issue and everyone felt safe in the property. All the rooms have A/c although our room unit did not work for a couple of days but sarah was always on hand to sort things out.
If you're looking for a high end beach front villa seashore is not for you but if you're after an affordable cosy place to stay with a 10 out of 10 location you can do no better.
