The rooms have see through glass toilet doors. Want to have a romantic weekend with your loved one? Nothing spells romance like watching your significant other taking a dump through the transparent door to the bathroom! And if you go to the toilet in the lobby in hopes of more privacy than the room you payed good money for is capable of offering; guess what?!?! SEE THROUGH GLASS DOORS THERE AS WELL!! So you get to see STRANGERS backing one out! What on earth have they been thinking?

We had only booked here for one night. After arriving early in the morning, we were able to store our luggage while we set off to explore Trondheim. The hotel is centrally located in the heart of the city. Lots of dining options are nearby. The hotel is only a couple of minutes walk to the airport bus.
When we returned to the hotel a few hours later our room was available. The hotel is quite new and very modern. The downstairs area is very open with loads of light streaming through from the overhead skylights. At reception there were some large refrigerators which had fruit, drinks and snacks for purchase if required.
Our room was a reasonable size and there were enough amenities in the room for our comfort. We did have to get some extra pillows as the pillows in our room were very thin. The room was soundproofed well and had a large window which allowed light in. The bathroom was very modern and functional with enough space for to store toiletries.
There was a brown paper bag hanging from a hook at the entrance of the room. The writing on the bag stated that if any guests had any spare clothing that was no longer needed then they could be placed in the bag and would be used to help less fortunate people. What a lovely and inspiring initiative! I have never seen this anywhere in the world and I did leave an item of clothing.
Breakfast the following morning was rather generous. Although it was a buffet, the hotel provided a very large range of hot and cold foods.
Our stay here was very comfortable and we would stay here again if we were ever in this part of the world. Staff were all friendly and helpful.

Very easy to get to this hotel from the airport via FlyBus--only ~3 blocks walk. Clean, comfortable room, small by US standards but typical for European hotels. The staff is great, very helpful and speak excellent English. There is a luggage storage room if you arrive at the hotel prior to check-in. Location is great--Trondheim is a walkable city, and we were able to see all sites easily on foot. Very nice breakfast buffet.

I participated in a meeting in Trondheim, and the arranger booked the hotel room on my behalf. I looked forward to it, as Choice hotels have a good reputation. The location was certainly excellent, and breakfast is always good in choice hotels. However, I have no idea why the hotel is called "comfort" - there was certainly no comfort anywhere near my room. There was no place to unwind or relax since the room was stripped of anything but the bare necessities, and the furniture was extremely uncomfortable. There was a shelf on the wall with a TV over it and a bar stool under it (which is just a poor excuse for calling something a desk since this arrangement is useless as a working space). There were no drinking glasses - not even plastic, no fridge, no closet, only two hangers and two hooks. The lighting in the room was very poor. In the room was a very uncomfortable chair and a bed with a chunky mattress. The bathroom was bare and could have passed for a institution bathroom, except for the glass door. I don't get it - why would anybody want a glass door instead of a regular bathroom door? It is neither fancy nor private, it is just ridiculous. I would never book a room in this hotel for myself - neither for business or for pleasure.

If you have stayed at a Nordic Choice hotel you know what to expect from this one. An unexpected positive was breakfast personnel serving coffee and treats from a tray by walking around the tables. Satisfaction guaranteed.
