There’s an unusual solution in this hotel. Several rooms are situated on common terrace level full of tables and chairs. Moreover, all hotel guests have access to this terrace. Of course You can’t see this on any official hotel photos.
We were unlucky to get such room. It was very hot in Oslo during our stay, so we had to keep the terrace doors permanently open as the hotel isn’t air conditioned. As a result we had NO PRIVACY AT ALL, which was very stressful. Those rooms are acceptable in winter only.

The hotel is very near to the Toyen metro station, 3 mins walk. And also close to the cafes, bakeries and supermarkets nearby. I’ve travelled with a friend so it was a safe neighbourhood even it was late at night. We stayed at the third floor, the room was nice. Towels changed and it was cleaned everyday. Bathroom was spacious. Although rooms were next to each other there was no noise. The ladies in the reception were helpful. Wifi connection was good. You can also drink tap water. There are more hotel alternatives in the city center but this hotel was very good value for the money. We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel so don’t have enough opportuntity to share my comments.

There was a vent in the room but i think a proper AC could help better. I know it seems weird to have an AC in Norway but it was almost 30C when i was there (July) it would be also good to have slippers in the room. Also it would be nice to see some brochures about Oslo and touristic activities. For some reason check in time was stated as 15:00 but normally it’s 14:00 and it’s something conventional. It was a bit strange.

We stayed for 4 days in the hotel. The room was quite large with three single beds and an attached kitchen and toilet. The kitchen was very well equipped with double door fridge, cooking range, dish washer, micro wave oven, electric kettle, basic utensils etc.
We enjoyed the stay and the hotel location was excellent, just 150 meters from the Toyen, T-bane station. Next to hotel was a Seven-Eleven convenience store and a small market with a medical store, bakery, few restaurants and few more shops selling fruits, vegetables etc. Besides this there were many Indian restaurants about 1 Km away from the hotel. The hotel staff was very friendly, particularly the chief chef - Mr. Satnam.

Room Tip: The hotel is easily accessible by local metro. Most of the places of tourist interest are also accessible by the metro (T-bane)

The main cons of this Best Western hotel were the impersonal slightly robotic reception, the not particularly pleasant neighbourhood, expensive on site parking and most of all the lack of air conditioning (in addition to a heath-generating boiler in the otherwise nice bathroom) which pretty much deprived us of much needed sleep.
