We had a lovely evening with good food—recommended.
The 5 course menu was delicious. The setting is more private compared to the many crowded Tromso places. We went on a Friday eve and reserved a day ahead.
Our favourites were the duck, the mushroom soup and the sorbet. This isn‘t a Michelin star restaurant. Instead food is of consistent high quality.
About 70 Eur for a set 5 course menu is fine—especially for Norway. Individual mains may appear pricy—but the quality is good. Our female waiter looked after us with great care.
The biggest surprise was how nice the place was compared to what some of the very reviews describe (I even saw some odd 1-star reviews). Across all dishes, yes, perhaps some were a tad too cold (they keep some portions of the starter in the fridge), the menu card looked tacky, and some more attention to the interior design would make difference. But food and service were wonderful.
Go before the Tripadvisor ranking catches up with reality—and it get‘s crowded.
