Been here for one night while visiting Tromso in August. Very good hotel with nearby underground public paid parking. Good breakfast and good positioning in the downtown close to literally everything. Affordable stay.

Nice and cheap accommodation in the city center of Tromso. Rooms are small but clean and comfortable. We stayed here for 1 night and everything was ok. The receptionist was very kind and helped up with good advices about the city. Recommended

Centrally located and easy to get into town and easy to walk to from the airport shuttle bus stop. Free tea and coffee all day in the dining area as well as 24hour front desk service. The included breakfast is great and the later check-out is handy. Rooms are small but very nice, clean and comfortable, great to come back to after a day of activities. WiFi is very good and reliable.

No kitchen or washing facilities, But you can't beat the price to be able to walk out into the snowy city streets in the half-light of a winters day.

It was very good to sleep in a bed after 5 days of sleeping in a tent. The rooms are quite small but very clean and the bed is comfortable. The hotel offers only double beds and the bed is placed at the wall, so rather recommended for couples :) Quiet very central. If you arrive by car the hotel does not have a parking place, generally is not a parking friendly town, but there is a tunnel parking where it costs 250 nok (approx 26 euro) for 24h.

My fiancé and I stayed at the Smarthotel for two nights in March 2017. Thankfully it has a great location within Tromsø (easy walking distance to pretty much everything in the center of the city) but that's basically the only overly positive thing I can say about the hotel. The room was one of the smallest I've ever stayed in. If you plan on booking excursions and activities for most of the day and will be using the hotel strictly for sleeping, then it gets the job done.
