Good location with few steps from Tromso Visitor Center and the bus stop from the airport, this small hotel is one of a good choice. Check in was quick, staff was attentive and freindly. The family room(one queen-sized bed and one bunk bed) with private toilet, was small but acceptably comfortable. Breakfast was good enough with some variety of food. Free wifi was offered and well accessible.

The staff at Amalie were very friendly and helpful, which was particularly appreciated by us as both our cases had been lost on the flight to Tromsø from Oslo! The room was clean, warm and comfortable. Complementary hot drinks were available in the dining area throughout the day, with waffles in the early evening. The hotel is very conveniently located close to the bus stop from the airport, the embarkation point for cruises, and many restaurants, coffee shops and tourist attractions.

This hotel is in the perfect location. It is surrounded by more expensive hotels and offers the same location for those with a bit less of a budget. I stayed in a one person room and there was a single bed. It was nothing fancy, but it served its purpose. The bathroom was veeeery small (to have a shower you must extend the doors out to in front of the toilet) and the towels need replacing, but I had a tiny sliver of a view of the fjord out the window. I wish I was told about the free waffles in the evenings! I only noticed when I was leaving. Front desk staff were very young; polite but not warm (you get that with Norwegians though). While I was staying there, the common areas had a bit of a funny smell...

This is a perfectly decent little hotel, nothing fancy. 3 or 4 people can get a room with their own beds (although it may be bunk beds). The staff is helpful and friendly. We were told about the free coffee and waffles when we first arrived - was a life saver on the first day - but it was only in the evenings. Free coffee in the morning would be nice. However, there's an amazing coffee shop very close by called Riso Mat, so it all worked out!

Nice friendly well run hotel. All information given at check-in. Room small but OK, comfortable bed, very clean, tea and coffee facilities, good WiFi. And well located. Fifty metres from Flybus drop off. 100 metres to Flybus departure. 100 metres to tourist information office and in the middle of a good choice of restaurants. Tromso isn't a big town centre but nevertheless being absolutely central does make things that little bit easier especially if walking old very cold winter days.
Buffet breakfast a decent selection of yoghurt muesli, cereals, cold meats, cheeses, salad, cold fish including salmon, scrambled eggs, bacon, boiled egg and a number of breads with juice tea and coffee. A great start to the day. And as well as tea or coffee in your room, the same available with make yourselves waffles between 6-8pm,
