I stayed in this hotel just for one night and regret that my stay was not a bit longer. Location is just perfect - in the heart of the city yet away from the crowds. Hotel staff is very friendly and attentive - you feel that they really do care about you and will do their best to help and assist. My suite had a private terrace and I could not wish for more: spacious, comfortable and the terrace was certaily a great benefit. The design of the hotel is cool and trendy but I could still feel the royal history in small details. Great combination of luxury and Viennese history. Breakfast is served on the top flor and is simply amazing!!!! Breakfast buffet includes everything and egg dishes are available a la carte. ... and so delicious! This hotel is definitely my choice for the next time - location, service, stlye... and amazing breakfast!

Room Tip: Suite on a top floor with private terrace

This was a nice hotel in a great location on the loop in Vienna. It is located directly across the street from the Ritz.

Room was not huge but it was nicely decorated with a rustic feel and exposed shower in room. It was also both clean and new feeling.

The Gym was small but had a couple of treadmills, machines and Dumbbells. It got the job done for a traveling workout.

Breakfast, which was included every day, was located on the 8th floor/rooftop of the hotel. It was a nice breakfast with many choices such as omelette and pancakes.

Overall it was a nice and clean hotel with very pleasant staff. I will return!

Strange experience. There is a more than a hint of classic luxury, but its not quite there.
From the padded lifts to the very well presented rooftop breakfast lounge, it's very nice and calming.
But having to ask for a kettle, and then a cup, to make a cup of tea was annoying. No coffee facilities in the room therefore seems a simple miss.
TV channels really not up to standard you'd expect from a quality hotel (English news channels are the only English speaking channels) and there is no desk in the room to work at.
In short, not a great hotel for the business traveller, but a lovely hotel.

I wanted a classy place in a central location and Grand Ferdinand Hotel delivered. The rooftop restaurant and pool have a great view and atmosphere, even if the pool is not hot enough for outdoor winter use. The service was impeccable and I enjoyed the location between the Opera and the Kursalon, near all the inner city attractions. The free wifi was fast and reliable. The room was a bit small, but it had all the amenities and was nicely decorated. The shower has a see-through door to the room, so I do not recommend this for families or anyone who enjoys privacy in the shower.

Had lunch at the Grand Ferdinand with a business partner on Friday. Best tuna steak since Monsieur Bleu in Paris a month ago. Impeccable service. White table cloths and elegant waiters amidst a relaxed and cosmopolitan atmosphere and contemporary architecture. A day later, enjoyed a drink on the roof terrace to take in the first rays of the spring sun. Highly recommend it.
