This is a real home style Hungarian restaurant. Soups were amazing, beef stew excellent.. the paprikas could have been better but was still quite good. Nice and attentive service.

Accidently found, a small restaurant in the centre of Vienna surprises with its cosy atmosphere, friendly stuff and delicious Hungarian cusine.
The place is actually one small room with decorations remebering 60's and full of guests. The way to the toilet leading through the kitchen is hilarious but fits to the rest :)
I was there twice with my wife and the food was pretty good. I especially recommend fish soup and Goulasch.

Summing up: recommended for those who like to discover little, charming spots with its historical background.
Not recommended for those who like waiters with ties, posh places and molecular cusine.

We found the place through tripadvisor rating.
We had one of the best lunches in Vienna.
Can't wait to go back.
Perfect soups, great goulash.

Charming little Hungarian restaurant with a Viennese style/influence of cooking! It is a family style restaurant with a home style kitchen. Very small place, very quaint and cozy, yet its bustling and lots are happening inside the tiny little restaurant. It is always packed with people and we were very lucky to get the last table for two. They are known for their bean soup and pancakes. Their goulash soup is also amazing! Well worth the visit.

Our service from the older gentleman was superb - we had a little miscommunication on our order due to language barrier, but instead of any tensions he just happily corrected our order with a smile. No harsh feelings despite us being tourists! Great experience and will definitely visit again. Located just off the main shopping street, it's 3 small streets west of the Stephanplatz station.
